Boardwalk villas

Do the boardwalk villa studio rooms have bathtubs? It looked from some of the pictures like there were only showers. For $300 plus per night, I would expect a tub...

The handicapped accessible studios have only a roll in shower. The other studios have a standard tub/shower.

Unfortunately, there is no guarentee that you will not get a handicapped accessible room. If this is vital to the satisfaction of your trip, DVC or the BWVs may not be for you. There aren't many of them, so if you want to take your chances, its up to you. But a HA room has been the only thing available for many members.

Wow, does that bring back some pre-DVC memories, or what? Oh, and don't forget the 11% tax.

Yup most of the BWV Studios have tubs however as the previous poster mentioned there are a limited number of HA room where it is shower only. Someone else may want to comment here but I think if you ask to be away from the elevators this will help but not garuntee not getting a HA room.

Our last trip in Nov/Dec we were given a HA room and we weren't too happy about not being told that it was HA before we got there. We called to move and they were willing to move us, but the location was not as nice as this one so we decided to stay put. We managed. The bathroom was larger due to being HA so it wasn't too bad. The other bad thing was that this was to be a non smoking room too, BUT some people don't follow the rules. House keeping did come and spray our room, but it was still stinky every time we returned back to our room. Anyway, back to the main point, if you get a HA just called front desk, they seemed happy enough to move us to another room. However, that must have been because another one was available at the time. Hope it works out for you. Have a magical trip.

Or you can just tell them when you reserve that you do not want a handicapped accessible room.
