We're starting to plan our next trip to the World, probably going in the beginning of May. We're trying to decide which resort to stay at, right now it's between Boardwalk Villas and the Beach Club Villas. We've stayed at the BWV twice and absolutely loved it--the rooms, the resort, the location, but we're looking to try something different, possibly the BCV. Other than Storm-A-Long Bay, is there any clear difference between the 2 resorts? One you like better than the other and why? TIA

We have stayed at both. BCV in September '03 and BWV in January '04. I LOVE the BWV! You are so close to the Boardwalk activities - it's wonderful. Maybe we were just lucky in our room assignment, but the view was terrific. We overlooked the Keister Coaster and Swan. From the room it was SO easy to get to the pool or the Boardwalk.

At the BCV we had a very nice view of the wooded area and could see a little of France. It just seemed to take longer to get anywhere. It was quite a walk (partially due to construction) to SAB or Beaches and Cream. The food options were definitely more limited. We could walk over to the Boardwalk area for the restaurants, but it wasn't as easy as staying at the BWV.

The room decor, hallways, etc. are very similar. I think BWV has a more exciting feeling to it - the BCV are more low-key and formal feeling.

We are going back to the BCV in March, but BWV will still be my favorite! :wave2:

We own DVC at both BCV and BWV. We both love BWV the best, but BCV is a close 2nd. For you, where you have already stayed at BWV a few times, why not try BCV for a change? You will love it I'm sure!

While both Resorts are beautiful and the BCV does have SAB, my favorite is still BWV and just as soon as possable I'll will be trying to buy DVC points there. That being said if you have stayed at BWV you may feel you need to try BCV so go ahead, it is a great place then in the future you will know where you perfer to stay.

Definitely low key, but not formal. The reason BCV is so low key is that it is buffered from the rest of the Epcot/Boardwalk area. It is back behind the BC and thus doesn't overlook the hustle and bustle of the Boardwalk.

My feeling is that if you wanted to try SAB then go for BCV. The walk really isn't that bad, and I had a room at the very far end of the BCV.
