Boardwalk Villas to Fantasmic

What is the best way to get from the Boardwalk Villas to Fantasmic at MGM?
Can you walk there? If yes, how long does it take at a normal pace?

Yes, you can walk. Takes no more than 20 minutes to reach the park entrance at a leisurely pace.

There is also boat service, but the boat makes several stops between BW and MGM. You can usually beat the boat on foot.

The walk is very quick and pleasant. We walked back after Fantasmic one night with three small kids, no problem. It was nice not to have to wait for transportation, and the walkway ends up right at BWV.

You can always walk over to the Swan and take the boat directly there. The walk to the Swan boat dock should only be about 5 minutes and the boat doesn't make any stops before going to MGM, probably a 10 to 15 minute ride. You also will have to walk from MGM's boat dock to the entrance of Fantasmic, which will be at least another 5 minutes. It will might be easier just to walk. I've read about a short cut from the BW to the MGM path. I think you cut through somewhere around the swimming pool. You could post a seperate question about that on the resorts board.

We've cut behind the Luna Park (clown) pool, and it took us 13 minutes to walk to the entrance of MGM at a leisurely pace. HTH!

Depending where your room is in Boardwalk Villas, you might be able to save a lot of time by exiting down one of the staircases direct out to the MGM path rather than going back to the lobby. Some people complain about their rooms being a long walk to the lobby, but a longer walk to lobby equals shorter walk to MGM.

The stairs by our room came out on the walkway between the two pools. It was an easy walk, less than 15 minutes. It is also easier to walk back after instead of waiting for a boat.

One of the reasons we like BW, it's nice being able to walk to two parks.
