Have any of you stayed at the BWV? I need help and opinions! I changed my ressie from the BC to BWV... and now I'm starting to regret it!

Here's the problem... My entire family is staying at the BC. We've been staying at the BC since before the BW was even built. My dad hates change, and needless to say is not happy about me jumping ship and moving to another resort. :headache:

He calls me yesterday to tell me that the BWV will be loud and crowded because of the restaurants & bars. He goes on and on about how quiet the BC is, and how I should be staying someplace romantic and laid back before my wedding, not "next door to a bunch of bars". Basically he convinced me that I'd hate the BWV, which I was really excited about! :sad2:

So here's my long list of questions, all inspired by dear ol' dad:

#1 Can you hear any noise from the bars/restaurants in the villas?

#2 Are people walking around acting drunk and stupid IN THE RESORT?

#3 Can you walk to EPCOT from there like you can from the BC?

#4 How big are the studios compared to regular rooms at other resorts?

#5 What kinds of quiet/romantic things can DF and I do?

#6 Since there's no food court, where do you go for breakfast?

#1 Can you hear any noise from the bars/restaurants in the villas?

No! they're in a completely different area of the hotel! you can't even hear the noise from the pool in the rooms!

#2 Are people walking around acting drunk and stupid IN THE RESORT?

No! i tried this on several different occassions during my college program and was kindly escorted out by security every time.

#3 Can you walk to EPCOT from there like you can from the BC?

Yes! it's the same path!

#4 How big are the studios compared to regular rooms at other resorts?

i think they're basically the same as all the others...

#5 What kinds of quiet/romantic things can DF and I do?

ooooo! the inn pool and the pool by community hall are both secluded, especially the hot tubs! there is a cozy little bar off the main lobby that's nice as well! The area under the stairs, near harbour club, is a wonderful place to sit and relax, they have chairs and big ceiling fans, it's lovely!

#6 Since there's no food court, where do you go for breakfast?

the bakery, it has basically the same stuff as anywhere else, or you can walk to bc!

i'm staying at bw because 1. it's our fave resort 2. it's where the ceremony is, making my life soooooo much easier and 3. NO ONE ELSE IN MY PARTY IS STAYING THERE. #3 is really important to me. i do not want to be bothered. we are staying in a standard room for the first two nights, and a garden suite the night before the wedding so that we can have room to get ready that morning! also, i love that there are so many restaurants/fun things to do there, it makes driving home so much easier after a long night at jellyrolls...

there's my 2 cents, very biased i know, but hth!

I agree with Caryn on #3! We did the reverse - our guests are staying at BWI and we're staying at BC so that we can have some privacy. I think you made a good choice! :goodvibes

BWV is our absolute favorite place to stay. Everything is so convenient there. As already confirmed, no excess noise, no drunks, and lots of private romantic areas to sneak away to ! The bakery at BCV is the BEST I have found. They also have paninis, salads, etc. The boardwalk has several restuarant options, all of which I have found to be quite yummy. Plus you get the extras of funnel cakes on the boardwalk for a late night snack, the performers are a blast to watch. LOVE IT--LOVE IT-LOVE IT !!!

DF and I are staying in the BWV with a boardwalk view the whole time for our wedding. We wanted to be near epcot and wanted to be near a lot of action so that it can take my minds off of other things so I don't stress so much. I'll be having too much fun :goodvibes

Thanks for the help girls! Now I can call my dad and have an intelligent discussion. Caryn, I love your reasoning behind #3. I never thought of it that way :)
