Who has stayed in a boardwalk view villa?? What did you think about it overal??? Which rooms are better higher or lower floors?? Any tips about staying there? Do you find it loud having the boardwalk view?? thanks for any reviews.

We've been on the second, fourth, and fifth floors in the Crest O' the Wave section, which is all the way at the end of the hall. Really no preference as far as the floor, the views are great either way. It can get loud, usually around 1 or 2 am when people leave the clubs. Other than that, the view is entertaining and I enjoy it.

Have fun!

We stayed in 5011 (one bedroom) for a week one time and it was awesome! We like being on a higher floor. Also we were there in Sept which is a less busy time so we really didn't have a problem with noise, though there were bells ringing late at night sometimes.

We've stayed in a Boardwalk view quite a few times. The only time I can ever say that we've noticed the noise was on New Year's Eve. Higher floors are better because of the view.

We have been on the fifth floor 2x, and on the third, once just near the corner over the general store, once over Big River Grille, once Crest O the Wave. We have always loved the view and never had a problem with boardwalk noise, but the boats in the early a.m. are noisy. We'd do it again in a heartbeat though! Enjoy

We were on the 2nd floor in a studio right above the " Door " in the " Screen Door " store sign . I did not care for it. I believe the dining room in a grand villa must have wood floors or tile and was right above us. We heard more noise from the adjoining rooms then we ever did anywhere else .

I never heard noise from outside unless the door was open , although my MOM was woken up a night or two when Jelly Rolls closed.

I guess I would take this category 2nd out of the 3.

Love the BWV boardwalk views rooms even book them at the 11 month.

2 floor GV

it is quite loud and noisy at various times

not necessarily a bad loud and noisy depending on what you are looking for, obviously there is always alot of activity ongoing here

if you are looking to relax and nap on your balcony or something then probably not a good idea

early morning: those boat horns are blaring and if you are a late sleeper, good luck. we are not and actually kinda like them

evening: alot of activity, of course, on the boardwalk, really enjoy just hanging out on the balcony and watching everything go on

late evening: pretty noisy crowds leaving some of the late night type places.
must say this was the one part we did not enjoy. 2 nights there were some pretty non-sober people screaming and running around the boardwalk. didnt last long but still enough to kinda get you a bit moody

We've stayed on the 5th floor BW view a number of times and once you close the doors about the only thing you hear is the sound of the horns on the boats.

I've had boardwalk view several times and have been located in different areas. I always request top floor but have been assigned to all floors. My least favorite was 2nd floor over the Big River Grill, it was noisy. It was June and people were out on the boardwalk until very late. My favorite would probably be on the 4th floor over the store (I think 4041). I did get Crest of the Wave once, I think 3rd floor, it had a great view.

We LOVED the BW View - we were there in June on the top floor almost all the way at the end.

For the most part - noise was not a big deal but one night the dance hall was ROCKING until very late - like 1-2am. Very loud rock music (dh and I got cracked up over the AC/DC song "You Shook Me All Night Long" blaring because the lyrics are so not Disney-magical). It was just one night - there must have been a party or something?? Still it was very loud with very adult lyrics - I was glad I did not have a baby that was trying to sleep.

We had a dedicated BWV studio twice, once on the 2nd floor and once on the 3rd floor. Both of them in the same section over the games (one on top of each other). The 2nd floor unit had a solid wall which was disappointing. I couldn't sit and watch the crowds. The 4rd floor one had a regular balcony.

Here's a picture of the 2nd floor one:

We really liked the view and if I was going to spend preferred view points anyway I would go for the Boardwalk View. The only negative was the DING! of the games outside our door. We could hear them even with the door closed.

I wonder if all of the dedicated studios are stacked one on top of the next?? We were in a dedicated studio on the 5th floor (5031) and had the same view, and same DING noise.

I was in 3031, dedicated studio, last December. We didn't have the solid wall. Robinb - are you sure it wasn't 2nd floor? The second floor rooms have solid balconies. Your picture looks like 2nd floor by the height.

I noticed this same thing, Deb, when I read this thread yesterday but I didn't post at the time. Robin had a second floor room. Third floor does NOT have the solid walls.

You guys are right. I had a 2nd and 3rd floor room. I'll change my post. I think I was channeling AKV where the main floor is the 3rd floor! Being on the main floor was really nice, but I really don't like the solid balcony :(.

ITA. That balcony is really big and private and covered in case of rain, but having to stand to see the BW defeats the purpose for us.

I have the same problem seeing the Boardwalk even from the 4th floor balcony---I'm too short! I feel like I'm peering through the railings to see anything and usually end up having to stand up to really see anything. We just came back from the 4th floor way down at the end of Crest of the Wave--even when we don't have a Boardwalk view we always seem to end up down there. Even on the 4th floor, I find it loud at night; I even hear the cleaners out on the Boardwalk, not to mention all the "happy" people leaving the clubs in the early hours.
