1) Can a family of 5 stay in a 1 bedroom at Boardwalk Villa Resort?

2) What's the difference between Prefered and Standard rooms?

Thank you in advance.

1) Can a family of 5 stay in a 1 bedroom at Boardwalk Villa Resort?
Yes - but officially, all of the 1 bedroom DVC units (except AKV) sleep 4 plus an infant under the age of 3. A portable crib, similar to a Pac 'n Play is provided for the infant. MS currently will take a reservation for 5 people of any age for the 1 bedroom units, but no accommodation is made for the 5th guest. DVC does not provide cots, rollaways or extra bedding to accommodate more than the stated maximum (4 plus an infant). That said, many families bring an aero bed or something similar for that 5th person. The 1 bedroom units at the AKV have a sleep chair for the 5th guest, and officially sleep 5 plus an infant.

2) What's the difference between Prefered and Standard rooms?
The only difference (besides the point cost) is the view. The units are all the same. SV rooms overlook the resort entrance and the driveway leading up to it.

PV includes two different booking categories - one (Boardwalk View) overlooks the Boardwalk and Crescent Lake. The other (Pool/Garden) overlooks one of the pools or the Croquet Lawn.

The SV and Boardwalk view units each make up approximately 20% of the available units. They are more popular than the Pool/Garden units and often sell out prior to the 7 month window.

Thank you in advance.
You're welcome.
