Wow Lark - I have never had a bad standard view at BWV. I have been less than thrilled with some rooms at BCV and they don't even discount them.

Bill and Mrs. Bill I hope you have a great time (but such a long wait ;) ).

Well, there's also definitely a reason that standard view at the BWV get snapped up so quickly, so, I guess everyone thinks a little different about it and probably agrees with your experience. I think I came off as being a little harsher about standard then I meant.

In response to Paging Tom Morrow (great screen name) and spiceycat, I realised that an Epcot resort for F&B might be tough and my DW is absolutely in love with the WL which is what I was looking for but, I maybe was asking too late in February. As it turns out we will be back at the WL with AAA and hoping for a possible AP rate. I'll take Bill's lead in the future and start fishing in October or November for the next trip.

Darn it Bill, see what you did. I haven't even made this year's trip yet and I'm already talking about next year!

Cheers,

Schuey

Not a bad thing, really. I'm not saying that planning is as much fun as going, but it's a substitute during the gaps between trips. Besides, at least as far as nailing down a DVC unit at BW, the early bird catches the worm!

Hi Bill! :cool1:

We are HOOKED on renting points. We will be going for the second time to the F&W Fest and MNSSHP at the end of Oct/beginning of Nov. We stayed last year for 5 nights in a BWV standard view and were thrilled with it. We were at the end of the hall, which was an annoyingly long walk from the elevator BUT it was very quiet (not a lot of traffic) and also was right next to a stairwell whech made for easy access in and out of the resort. We are big balcony sitters, and while the standard view was nothing to get excited about, it was quite satisfactory, considering we paid $11 a point which was $110 a night! To the the right we could see ToT and we had a lake in front of us, then some shrubbery which had a parking lot on the other side.

I rented from the same guy for 2006. He called and got the ressies 11 months out as BWV is his home resort. If I want to cancel, he will either try to rent the points (which I bet he would be able to do easily) or let us use the points (45 points) anytime before August, so I think that is fair. I paid him half already, and will pay the balance 60 days prior.

Now my problem is this...I wanted to stay at WL for the weekend after checking out of BWV...Nov 3 and 4. BUT, there is no way I will pay the $600 I was quoted from CRO to stay there for 2 nights! I just can't do it after staying at BWV for so cheap. If FL Res Rates don't help me, I will switch to a mod.
