I will be staying at the BWV for the first time and would like to know if it's quicker to take the boat to MGM, walk, or take the bus? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Faster way for me is to walk....no bus from BW to MGM... Boat is slow but doesnt take the toll the way walking does.

I don't think there is a bus, altho I may be wrong. We always either take the boat or walk. Walk is about 10-15 minutes. Boat is less is you walk over to the Swan/Dolphin to catch it; otherwise, it makes 2 stops (Y&BC and S/D) before getting there, so it's about 25-30 minutes from BW.

Wlking or the boat are the best options. Walking is only faster if there is a crowd waiting and you may have to wait for another boat. Last time we tried it with my son walking and the rest of us on the boat. He had to run most of the way just to keep up. The walk is nice if your legs can take it.

No bus service from BW to MGM or Epcot.

The boat is a nice, relaxing way to make the trip. Walking can get you there quicker if you are staying on the MGM side of the BW, or if you "just miss" the boat.

We walked from the BC and got there before the boat. It is a pretty walk. Coming back, walking was certainly quicker because of the line up for the boat.

I'm fairly certain that buses do not run between the Epcot area resorts and MGM. I think boat or walking are your only two options.

That said, I timed the walk last time I was there, and it took two of us 30-somethings women 12 minutes from the time we exited the MGM gate to the side entrance of BWV, past the pool.

I can't even imagine walking from the Beach Club as someone said - y'all must have iron legs. Especially at the end of the day to walk that far. I'd have been dyin', but then, I'm relatively wimpy by nature. :-)

For the Y&B Clubbers - You could always walk to the Boardwalk boat dock and take it across the lake for the last leg of the journey.

I wish Disney had a Surrey Bike rental location at MGM. How cool would that be? Then you could rent a bike in the morning and rent one again at night. They could have a 'short-duration' rental fee just for transportation to the Studio, to make it worth renting, and then it would be really speedy to get back to the BWI!! That would rock..... maybe I should write a letter!
