We are DVC Boardwalk Members. We have stayed in a 1 bedroom Preferred View that overlooked the Luna Pool. We are now a family of 6 and need a 2 bedroom. What do you look at off your balcony in a 2 bedroom standard view? Do 2 bedroom standard view rooms have balconies?

Sorry about all the questions, just trying to plan everything out

Thanks

You will be anywhere from over the front entrance, the road leading up to the front entrance, or the tennis courts (which also face MGM). None of the views are bad (all are mentioned as "parking lot" views but the parking lot is quite a ways from the rooms and what you actually see is fine). 2BR's are simply a combined 1BR and studio and you will have balconies outside each room in the unit (except ground floor units have patios).

Awesome! Thanks.
It's 1 year, 1 month and 14 days away but who's counting!!!!

We were in a first floor standard view studio last month and loved it. We enjoyed having the patio, instead of the balcony, as it was much larger. Our view was of a small lake and Tower of Terror! Each morning the ducks came up to our patio door.

Later in that trip we moved to a 1 BR standard view. It was on the second floor and faced the front entrance. But instead of 2 small balconies (as we had had the previous year) it was one long balcony. The kids loved it.

We have never been disappointed with standard views, and prefer them to stretch our points.

We once had a 2 bedroom standard view, and loved it. It's on first floor, facing the lawn at the entrance (where the valet parking entrance is). Since we are at the very very end, there is no noise, and very secluded.

We also had preferred view before facing the pool, and I actually don't like it as much. Much more points, more noisy, and we never spend time in the rooms anyways.

We had a 1BR/S overlooking the valet parking area and could see the fireworks from Epcot. The neat thing was that they were set off really late, not with the normal illuminations. I don't know if they were testing a new fw display - or if there was some private viewing.

We also had a 1BR/P overlooking the pool at Community Hall - this was neat as our dd's would walk to Community Hall, we could see them walk in, and they knew they were to hang aroung playing inside till we came down for them, usually 1/2 hour later. If they wanted to come back early ( which they never did ) we could see them as DH and I were enjoying quiet time on the balcony. ALthough this was an added bene, I would not pay the extra points unless I had no choice.
