Boardwalk or DTD?

The last day of our trip will be a pool day and we are planning our dinner at either DTD or BW. I'm wondering what folks think is the better choice. We are three generations, the youngest being 4.5 and the oldest being 71. I don't think the little ones will make it up to Illuminations after a full week of WDW fun so that's not a consideration for the BW area.

Factors that ARE a consideration: I suspect we will have a quick late afternoon BW stopover earlier in the week on our HS day. My kids, DH and I went to DTD last year but my parents have never been.
