We are currently booked for a stay in an AoA suite from June 30-July 7, but have the opportunity to move to Boardwalk. I've never been at either and am wondering for those of you who have stayed at them, which would you choose?

We are 2 adults, a 13 year old, and an 11 year old. The 13 year old really loves to swim so our pull towards AoA was the pool and 2 bathrooms in the suite. However, we've heard such good things about Boardwalk and are starting to lean towards that.
Let us know what you think!

As my kids have grown, the two bathrooms and a separate bedroom have become a HUGE draw for us to AoA. The pool is great, the resort has a really nice variety of quick-service meal options, and it's got Skyliner access, so we love it.

However, a big potential advantage to Boardwalk would be that you'd be eligible for the extra evening hours that you wouldn't get with AoA. So if extra park time is appealing and the single bathroom isn't a big deal, Boardwalk could be a really good option for your family.

Thanks so much for this input! We were thinking the extra park time would be a benefit. The last time we went the kids were much younger and would be tired for the extra magic hours. We were hoping that we could take advantage of it. Or, if they are tired, leave them at the hotel and take advantage of them ourselves. lol

I would do the Boardwalk. We've stayed there many times in a studio with teens and we were fine. The extra hours and walking to two parks is a big draw for us.

Thank you for the advice! We ended up switching to Boardwalk. The proximity to Epcot kind of did it for us. The 13 year old also liked the hotel better. He said AoA looked like it was for little kids. Super excited to stay there! I also saw that they've added another time to get into the Virtual Queue for GoG Cosmic Rewind for Deluxe Guests at 6pm so that makes it even better!

Boardwalk, no question. The benefits of being able to walk to 2 of the park far outweighs having a second bathroom. You are in the bathroom such a small amount of time during your stay that it is not even a concern.

The former clown pool at Boardwalk is WAY better than the Big Blue Pool at AoA. BBP does not have a slide and while we were there it was almost impossible to find a deck chair. We had no such problem @ the clown pool. We loved the family suite @ AoA with two bathrooms. The QS food court @ AoA was also far better than anything we found at Boardwalk or even across the way at Beach Club. Try Swan/Dolphin for QS if you stay there. Transportation was good at both resorts, though we did find Boardwalk was more "opposite traffic" - i.e. you will find longer lines to get on Skyliner and at bus stops at the end of the day @ AoA.

Hope that helps - a little of the good and bad of each. We enjoyed them both so you really can't lose.
