We have been staying DVC/BCV for over 10 years and while I would consider myself pretty knowledgeable about BCV and know the resort like it is our "home away from home", we booked a bit late for our upcoming trip and have a 1-Bdrm villa garden/pool view at Boardwalk Inn Villas. I would love to hear from those of you who are BWV experts about your favorite things about the resort and any tips you may have. TIA!!!

It's pretty much the same as BCV except the pool isn't as great :) but you're closer to Hollywood.

I just like the location by the lake. A perk with BWV is the proximity to swan/dolphin. I like to hit up Bluezoo while I'm there, and it's such an easy walk!!

Ps. Can't wait to try the mini golf at swan dolphin. Sorry that I've said nothing specific about BWV!!

Both are great. My kids actually love the charm of the pool at BW. I like how close to the action you feel there also. Lots of restaurants/nightlife on that side of the lake vs. BCV. BCV seems so much more relaxed and quiet. More or less, a different vibe at BW.

We think the clown slide is much more fun than the SAB slide. Also the community hall with air hockey. :)

Location location location. Love being able to walk to 2 parks. Love the activity on the Boardwalk at night. And our kid loves the clown slide.

- you'll have great views from your BWV balcony, likely including fireworks in the evening
- community hall, with crafts, video games & board games, free DVC rentals, etc
- nightly entertainment (street performers, carny games, etc) just minutes from your room
- belle vue lounge
- delicious fresh baked goodies from the BW bakery
- less congested pool, with lounge chairs usually available

despite the BW activity, we've found the BWI/BWV to be two of the most serene resorts on property - lots of quiet places to relax and/or read, with a great variety of activities available.

Being familiar with BCV you won't find a big different in distance, but there are a few things we prefer.

The night life both family friendly and just for adults at Boardwalk is great. In particular starting around dark there will be magicians/street performers out on the boardwalk doing 20-30 minute shows almost constantly for several hours. We've often just grabbed a drink and let the kids walk up and grab a seat for the show.

For the adults there's the dance hall, though our personal preference is Jellyroll's. We always love a good dueling piano bar, and aside from the slightly high priced drinks it's a great experience with usually a Disney song sprinkled in throughout the night.

One thing, there are no Boardwalk Inn Villas. It is either the Boardwalk Inn or the Boardwalk Villas.

If you drive, parking isn't as easy at BWV as it is at BCV. And if anyone on your reservation doesn't like clowns, hope for a leisure pool view instead of Luna Park pool.
