Only if DVD changes their ROFR strategies for all these resorts, IMO. If they don't start buying back at higher prices then nothing will change short term. But AKLs recent resale value shows how much DVC can inflate the resale market with ROFR.

I wonder if .maybe DVD will simply stop ROFRing contracts, which is why the price is high...they don't want to sell it...and then the resale market for these contracts will go down since they don't need or want the points back.

And I think the opposite. This means they don’t want to sell those anymore and pricing both RIV and VGF similar drives direct sales there.

I think supply and demand sets the price. ROFR affects it to some extent.

Correct except if there is no ROFR, then people will offer less and owners may take less on those properties because they have had them so long that they still make money.

Exactly! Depends on the price, could drive prices up on cheaper resorts. Time will tell what happens.

Wow Wow Wow. They are focused on sending potential buyers right back onto the Skyliner to RIV. My BCV resale contract is looking better and better with each increase.

And gfv, I’m predicting gfv going on sale triggered this. Dvc IMO wants to focus sales on active vs sold out resorts
