We will be picked up at the Swan (I don't know the time) there are 14 of us 6 being kids. How long do you think it will take to check in for the ship? TIA

maybe 10 minutes, if that. The check in desk is very organized.\

Just make sure you have all your documents completed before arrival..otherwise you will hold yourselves up and everyone else.

Have fun!

Pickup at the Swan is around noon. Noon-thirty at AKL, 11:30 at GF... I've decided, I think, not to waste a half a day at AKL, the resort I'd been at for nearly a week and just take myself off to the airport to catch the 9:30AM bus to the port.....Maybe...or maybe I'll just veg out and let whatever happens happen...That's the definition of an adventure, right? princess:

So what if I don't get to the port until 2 or 3...No lunch on board, no pool time, no reservations......

12:30 pick up at AKL, what do you do the first part of the morning?? Do you have time to go into the park?

Exactly...What a waste...You could go to a park for a couple of hours, have a snack, then catch the bus to the port. OR sleep in really late and have a snack and catch the bus to the port. OR, instead of repeating the park routine, get up early and put the commando boots back on and hot foot it back to the airport to catch the 9:30AM bus and have bundles of time at the port to explore and investigate.

Since our package includes our transfers we will most likely head back to one of the parks for a few hours. Just does not seem like very good planning on somone's part. Maybe if you like to sleep in but I am sure the boys will have us up bright and early!::yes::

Its probably very good planning on someone's part. The last buses leave the terminal carrying the guests that were on the ship before you at about 9:00. They'd reach the airport or WDW at 10:00. They need to be unloaded and cleaned, then dispatched back to the resorts. Those buses run pretty constantly from about 6:30 when guest start debarking until 3:00, when they drop off the last passenger from the last plane.

Its just not very convienient for land/sea guests who'd like to get to the ship at 11:30.
