Recently I've read about a couple of cruisers talking about getting a boarding pass. Just wondered what exactly it is. It just seems like I just started hearing about them recently, so I wasn't sure if it was something new they had started or not...TIA! :confused3

The boarding passes are for cruises leaving out of CA this summer.

I was on the June 4th West Coast cruise. As you enter the terminal, you are given a number. Numbers went from 2-18 on our cruise. Once DCL is ready for guests to board, the start calling numbers. Everyone that is holding the first number, in our case 2, will get on board first. Once all the numbers have been called it's a 'free for all' according to some of our cruisers that didn't get a number. People with numbers were still boarding at 2:00!! Some people with families did not like the long wait. We got there at 9:15am and had the number 2. They didn't start calling numbers until 12:30. I would still get there early if you don't have small kids. The earlier you get there the earlier you get to board. It's up to you if you want to walk on around 2:00 or wait in the terminal and get on board a couple of hours earlier.
