I'm not cheap, by any stretch, but in my mind everything has a value. I noticed the prices at Blue Zoo are steep, and I just wondered if anyone thought it was worth it (we have a PS now but I'm willing to cancel).

BTW, we love Flying Fish and think it's worth every penny.

Thanks for your input!

sorry to ask this...

but i don't remember hearing of or seeing this restaurant before... where is it located?

It's located at the Dolphin. It's Boston's famous chief, Todd English's newest restaurant. We dined there 3 times when we were at the Dolphin in Jan. The food is incredible and comparable to Emerils. We will be at the Swan in Feb and plan to go back to Blue Zoo! Definatly try it!

We thought it was worth it. The inside is lovely..especially after dark. The service is excellent. The food is excellent.

We would go back again.

I agree. We thought the seafood was outstanding. I loved all of the different dipping sauces. The atmosphere is very relaxing. The whole restaurant has a blue hue as if you are surrounded by water. The wait staff is well trained and provided excellent service. Enjoy!

How is eating at the bar? I notice they have less expensive
items but would we be missing something? I really would like
to try blue Zoo this year but I will have to put the breaks on for my budget at some point! LOL there are so many good places to eat and so little time!

We have a PS there for 10/25. I haven't heard a bad review about it yet, also we're running out of new restaurants to try. Everything on the menus sounds yummy. Can't wait.

Well, I'm convinced. We will keep our PS and report back after 10/23!

Thanks everyone!

We'll be going there this Saturday night.... I'll report back when we get home!

The interior is wonderful. Very peaceful and relaxing.

I found the service to be wanting, and in no way comparable to Emeril's.

The food was ambitious and improperly cooked. Pure sin for a chef of English's stature (not to mention from Boston) to serve overcooked lobster.

Overpriced and poorly prepared.

Having said all that, things may have improved. I certainly hope so, or bluezoo will be nahtazoo before too long.
