I'm not sure where I should post this question, but since it concerns eating, I will give it a shot in here.

On the food channel, I heard about a place in Georgia about a hours drive from Atlanta called the Blue Willow Inn. Apparantly, they serve one of the best "traditional" southern buffets in the land. Since we are driving to WDW from Michigan this December, I was thinking about making a side trip from I-75 to visit this restaurant. Just wondering if anyone has ever visited the Blue Willow Inn and what your opinions are. Is it worth an hours drive off the route to visit this place? Any opinions would be very helpful and greatly appreciated. Thanks! :wave2:

I have been to The Blue Willow Inn and think it is wonderful! It is very easy to get to (i-75 south to i-20 east) but probably is a good hour out of your way, maybe a little more.

If you've never experienced anything like this and you aren't in a hurry, it would probably be a nice break. The old plantation style house is gorgeous and there is a little gift shop too. The restaurant has received numerous awards. I would definitely recommend reservations, because they book up really fast.

Check out their website at www.bluewillowinn.com.

Have a great vacation!

......We are planning to make a visit to the BWI on our return home from WDW this New Year's Eve. Thanks Again!
