If you were asked, "What should we replace the 'Wonders of Life' pavilion with?" What would you suggest and what company would you have sponsor the attraction?

I would love a throwback to "Communicore." With the the technologies WDI is using for Toy Story Mania and interactive cues, this could be made into a attraction that is constantly updated. There could be a dark ride on the inside that is interactive and educational. ATT or Microsoft, Cisco, or another big player could sponsor the pavilion. "Maybe they could even have a Tron dark-ride (nice tie-in).

What are your thoughts?

Bear in mind, I'm a huge Apple geek...I would love to see Apple sponsor something at Epcot. Steve Jobs is the largest single shareholder in Disney so it would be pretty easy to make that happen. They could build out that pavilion to be what Epcot was meant to be in the first place; an experimental community of tomorrow. But then everything would be outdated within 6 months...

How about an attraction sponsored by Boeing showing the manufacture of aircraft. They could refurbish the existing Body Wars simulators and do a test flight attraction.

And since Boeing is based in Seattle, they could have a Starbucks outlet there. It might just be the most popular pavilion in the park!

I would actually like to see the WoL pavilion refurbed and kept. I think having a health pavilion fits in perfectly in what Epcot was originally designed to be. I'd update Body Wars just like they are updating Star Tours and come up with some new health-focused shows and activities.

While I was at it I'd also refurb Mission:SPACE. I like the ride but think they should have put in a whole space themed pavilion that was like the Land pavilion. Mission:SPACE would stay but there would also be an added dark ride (think along the lines of Horizons) and maybe even a counter service restaurant. I've heard the original plan was for something along those lines but the project got chiseled away at until only one ride stayed. I would like them to stop making rides in Future World and make pavilions that included multiple attractions, with the ride being only one part.

Epcot is my favorite park and I'd like to see it get a little more like it was originally.

::yes::
I totally agree. The human body is a wondeful piece of science and fits well with the theme of EPCOT's Future World.

Not Blue Sky, but I think they should bring back Kitchen Kabaret.

Sorry.....:offtopic: If they put a Starbucks outlet there....I'd be there at least once a day. I'm NOT kidding.....coffee is important to me......and, of course, Pete :rotfl:

We are actually investing in a mini Keurig to take with us when we travel especially in WDW. I won't go into my disdain for Nescafe...............

Sorry to keep the thread off topic but as long as we are changing Epcot I'd actually put a Starbucks style coffee shop in the American Pavilion and remove that mediocre at best counter service restaurant. I think an American coffee house themed like colonial Boston could be made to work.

OK, back to WoL. Disney has been on a health kick for lack of a better term. They are adding healthier food options and expanding their endurance events so I think opening up WoL would fit nicely with that initiative. If any industry has plenty of extra cash to sponsor a pavilion at Disney it is the health care industry.

Frank, maybe they will put a running track on the inside of WoL. :rotfl2:

Hellooooooooo ... it's called a queue.

That would definitely be an interactive queue. :thumbsup2 I seem to remember that back in 1995 they did have a netted off area where you could have your baseball, golf, or tennis swing analyzed. Of course by analyzed I mean a CM would watch you hit a ball and then press a button so a pre-recorded celebrity could give you some advice. I think the baseball celebrity was Gary Carter of Mets fame. At least there is precedent for guest participation.

With childhood obesity being on the rise, I think some sort of edutainment towards getting kids fit. My son is obese, and it's very hard to even talk about losing weight, considering he has low self esteem to begin with.

Maybe get EA or Microsoft to sponsor it, in conjunction with Kinnect for Xbox.
