Blue Ridge prkwy & Biltmore estates

How far is Blue Ridge Parkway from Biltmore Estates? I am planning a trip to Biltmore Estates and would like to see Blue Ridge Parkway since I will already be there.
We are planning two days at Biltmore. How many days would you plan for Blue Ridge Parkway? I was thinking just one full day. But should I plan more?

So I had no idea that asheville was part of blue ridge parkway....so I think my question is answered? Is there anything you recommend not missing?

I'm not sure how far you plan on going on the parkway, but I can recommend Chateau Morrisette. We have lunch there and pick up a few bottles of wine every summer when we are in the area. www.thedogs.com

Is you like animals there is a place off the parkway that is part os the Smokie Mountains and it is where they moved the elk too! We went in October and the elk were bugling and all over the place, it was amazing

Please make sure you check out www.blueridgeparkway.org, as there are sections of the Parkway that are currently closed due to storm damage cleanup and repairs. The story on last night's news indicated over 35 miles of closures.
