:cool1: What all can you all tell me about Blue Man Group??My 22 year old son wants to go when we come stay in aug.Thanks!!:thumbsup2

It's a show that's better seen than described...so, I would suggest heading over to YouTube and doing a search for "Blue Man Group" and watch some of the videos. Some of the things you'll find there are in the theatrical shows and some aren't but it will give you a good idea of what the show is all about.

Better yet, search on youtube for ioacentral radio presents blue man group. saw the whole show last night, amazing.

Hi!! I saw the BMG in Vegas and loved it. I am planning on taking the family to see it in August. 2 questions: First, what is the theater/seating set up like? It is hard to tell from the seating chart. Are there good seats/bad seats? In Vegas, I was sitting back in the balcony and I liked being able to see all the musicians on the different levels. Second question, do people normally buy tix well in advance, the week they arrive or the day of the show. There is only one night we can go and I have been checking the availability and I've noticed it has not changed in weeks which implies nobody is buying tix well in advance.

The theater is set up just like a normal performing arts center's seating. Some people compare it to a movie theatre set up. The seats are tiered stadium style. As in any theatre, the center seats are preferable, however you can see from anywhere inside. I would personally recommend Zone 2 seating, this is not too close and not too far away. If you liked sitting in the balcony in Vegas, then you'd be fine in either Zone 2 or Zone 3. (Zone 3 is $10 less to sit in)

I would advise buying tickets in advance depending on what time of year you are going. If you're going in August, I would highly recommend buying the tickets now, when you have your pick of the house. Otherwise, Zone 1 and 2 are the first ones to go and typically are sold out by the day of the show. August is considered peak time and while availability isn't changing now, it could at the drop of a hat. Also keep in mind that groups book often last minute and what is great avail today, maybe the last row tomorrow.

It's a great show, have a fabulous time!!

I take it that the BMG is more than a couple of guys painted blue beating on trashcans? Because the clip I saw a while back, that's kinda what it looked like to me.:confused3

Yeah, its a bit more than that. Its nothing that you would expect. It has bits of comedy, a lot of intriguing theatrics, and a lot of music. Is it like Cirque Du Soleil? No..its not. No french clowns, and acrobats here.
I am going again for my daughters 6th birthday next weekend. My first full show was the 29th of June, and I caught the video that you see in a media presentation.....I've become a fan.

Does anyone know how long the show lasts? We are considering going to the 9pm show but are not sure how late it will be and need to schedule a shuttle ride back to our Disney hotel.

Thanks!

The show lasts about 2 hours. Just about....give or take 15 minutes.

So is Zone 3 like a balcony with an overhang or does it just go straight back like a high school auditorium?

No balcony...it goes straight back. It just gets a little steeper as you go up. There are stairs in Zone 3 and 4. There aren't stairs but rather an inclining walkway in Zones 1 and 2.

Thanks for posting the links to youtube :thumbsup2
I just booked our BMG tix for our upcoming Nov trip (first trip to Universal :woohoo: )
Two years ago we saw BMG in Vegas and we loved the show, even purchased a BMG CD. Being at the show is so exciting, I'm very much looking forward to seeing them again. IMHO the tix are worth every penny.
