Last week I ordered tix (online, through the UO website) for the Blue Man Group, for a show when we are there in October. I don't remember seeing a place to input that I had an AP (and I kind of forgot too:confused3) Do I get a discount with my AP? If so, how do I go about getting it, now that I've ordered and my credit card has been charged? Sorry if this has been asked before, I searched and couldn't find an answer to my particular question. Bev, maybe you can help me??

Thanks in Advance
Mike

IIRC, it's a 10% discount.

Also, I'm sure you can call the box office and explain the situation. They should be able to reimburse you in one way or another.

Unfortunately all ticket sales are final. There are no refunds, exchanges or adjustments available once you complete a sale.

Someone I knew had a similar situation. The box office is strict with the policy.

Not only that, but they tend to not have the better seats available for AP holders. For the show we went to in July, the only AP seats they had available were in the third zone. Full price, and we sat in the first. I hope this is only coincidence.

My neighbors were able to purchase great seats for BMG with their AP discount. They first called the AP dept itself to order and that dept. majorly screwed it up. First they couldn't get the seats back that they wanted after seeing what was available and then they almost charged her twice. She still had good seats in Zone 2. Then they went back again when they had family in town and this time called the box office instead. The box office was able to get them the discount as well (they had to read their AP # over the phone to the agent) and had a little bit more to choose from. The box office generally has some better tickets available, but it's not always the case. My neighbors actually came right out and asked them if they're better off going through the box office and althought they never came right out and said so they did confirm that the AP dept's computers only pull best available at that moment. The box office has full access to all seats and holds and all that.

Whatever you do, let them know in advance that you're an AP holder if you go/talk to the box office because once they finish your sale, you're outta luck and they won't ask you if you're a passholder.

After calling the box office, then the AP line, I got my AP increased by a month. It isn't actually as much money saved when you figure it out, but It's less than $20, so I'm not going to make a big deal about it.

We have the seats I wanted
Zone1 Center Row D, Seats 26-28 (8 rows back)

in the middle, close, but not in the poncho seats. So, it's all good, I'm anxious to see the show (eight weeks from last night, but who's counting ;) )

One more question for those of you that have gone to BMG. Will I need the credit card that I used to purchase my tix when I pick them up, like when I get tix at a kiosk that I bought online? Or will my ID and printout of my confirmation be enough?

Thanks
Mike

Printout and picture ID....like a Univesal Annual Pass, but dont quote me on that...take your dl just in case.

The reason I want to know about the credit card is this. The cc I used to buy the BMG tix with I will no longer have in October. It is a Capitalone card. I have had it for a few years, at 5.99% interest. I got a letter about a month ago, that as of October, the rate is going up to 12.99%!!!!! But if I want to cancel the card and pay off the balance at the current rate, I can do so, if I cancel the card by September 12th, well, that's a no brainer. I used to like Capitalone, not anymore. So I won't have that card with me in October.

That sort of thing happens quite a bit. People lose their credit card, cancel it, forget it etc etc. Bring your photo ID and confirmation number and that will be fine. They can look up your entire transaction with your confirmation number and then verify it's you with your picture ID.

Have a great time!
