This might be a silly question:

Since the restarant is cajun style, how spicy is everything and are there items on the menu that arent real spicy.

Not :) The food is not really "Cajun style". They have gumbo (which is not too spicy, and I'm a spice wimp), but the rest of the food items are pretty simple. Here are the menus:

Dinner: http://allears.net/dlr/din/menu/men_bayd.htm

The only two that might be spicy are the jambalaya and the blackened Cajun salmon, but other than that the food is not spicy at all.

The meal, not at all. The filet and lobster were delicious. Now if you get the Gumbo before your meal, it is pretty spicey. But I normally do not like hot things.

I love th e gumbo, wife does not. It really isn't Cajun style. The Surf and Turf is excellent.

Nothing is really spicy at all..not even the gumbo. :) DBF usually gets the gumbo and I get a salad, we share them both. I LOVE the Gumbo at BB!!! And CO, it's the same and it's soooooooooooooo good!!! But no, the food is not spicy at all.

The 'spiciest' thing I've had at Blue Bayou was the gumbo, and that's not bad. I can't handle spicy things, so usually if I can eat it, it's mild -- if that. I'm not usually adventurous for the entree and I almost always get the cajun spiced salmon which isn't that spicy either in my opinion.

HAHAHA spicy to me is the Taco Bell mild sauce and I can eat the gumbo at BB/CO with no problems, its got a little kick but I would consider it a "mild-spicy" That gumbo is to die for!!! :thumbsup2

I hate spicy stuff and had no problem with any of the food there. When I go to Thai restaurants and they ask for "what level of spice" I usually say 0 or 1, because that's more than enough to me! :rotfl:
I've had the monte cristo and the chicken dish with a salad and BB and everything was pretty normal as far as spicy-ness goes :)

Loved their prime rib when it was on the menu, I really have never had a bad meal, but other seem to have.

On our last trip I had the gumbo DH had the salad and we shared both were good and the gumbo was wonderful, spicy but not too spicy. I had the surf & turf and he had the short ribs both the filet and the ribs were melt in your mouth good. You are going to love it! The atmosphere was the best of any restaurant I have ever been to.
