Is it that much harder to get a table next to the water if you have reservations later in the day? We have a reservation at 1:00 during the week and was hoping to sit by the water

You should get there about 15/20 minutes prior and wait right next to the podium. Past experience has been if you have an 1130 time, you will get waterside unless you have a party larger than 6.
We love BB, also Cafe Orleans. BB is better for the atmosphere, but my monte cristo's tasted exactly the same. Both Yummy and the Gumbo soup... Yummy...
OP said good buffets at Story Teller Cafe, I didn't think they had evening buffets any more????

Wait times for waterside tables vary according to how many other people are already waiting for them and how many are in your party. There are actually 2 tables that seat 6 at waterside. It's always worth asking, because sometimes tha answer is "right away", and if the wait time you are quoted is longer than you care to wait, you can take the first available table and you have lost nothing by asking.
We have had 6 plus one in high chair many many many times waterside
they have never said anything other than putting two tables together. I wonder if this has changed recently? We did this as recently as last August.
