We love the Blue Bayou Restaurant at Disneyland (food but mainly that it is right in with the Pirates of the Carribean ride) Are there any restaurants like this at any of the WDW parks?

The closest thing (in idea not food) is the San Angel Inn at Mexico in Epcot's World Showcase. While you're sitting and eating, the boats from El Rio del Tiempo float by.

Yes the San Angel in the Mexico Pavillion has a very similar feel and the Rio del tiempo flows right by the seating area very cool ....feels like a mexican night

Thats funny that is the one restaurant we eat at last year and like it. Didn't know that you could see the boats though as we were seated in the middle. I don't even remember taking the boat ride? Do you go backwards for a bit on it? We were lucky to get a seat quickly for some reason? We were only at WDW for one day as we were taking a cruise out of Ft Lauderdale.

No the boat ride that goes backwards is the one Norway, Malestrom.

Yep, San Angel Inn, but the food is so much better than Blue Bayou. We were really disappointed with Blue Bayou food when we were out there last spring.

Did you have the deep fried monte christo sandwich? Thats what we always get very yummy!!! :)

The food at the Blue Bayou is horrible imho. I love the atmosphere though and is the only reason why i would go back. Same sentiments about Sci-Fi Drive In as well.

Foobs :earsboy:

I like the Blue Bayou, I think it's romantic. There is one slight problem, you are sitting with you're beautiful girlfriend happily tucking into your Gumbo, when all of a sudden, some loud mouth Brit on a boat floating by, shouts out.... "Don't Eat the Lobster."

Cheers Larry.

I didn't know any Brits were loud-mouthed. I mean, I know about the stiff upper lip and all, but I thought they were rather quiet and reserved!
