I've only eaten there once before, and the vegetarian dish was a cauliflower dish that (I thought) was really good. Does anyone have any feedback on the new veg offering?

I was just watching the new Magic Journeys video about Blue Bayou and they had really good things to say about the pasta.
I just watched that yesterday too, their whole video was incredible.

Made me realize I do not want the Hearts of Palm Escabèche salad. Didn’t look appetizing to me at all!
The filet looked good (usually my go to) but I would request no olive topping. I like my filet naked.
Also, even though a potato lover, the patatas bravas didn’t look great, so I’m hoping I can substitute for mashed potatoes.

But the chocolate cake with the marshmallow caviar looked so good!

It was a great video, I love them! I was on the fence about Blue Bayou in general since I've heard a lot of bad reviews recently...but now I've changed my mind. That hurricane looks pretty good too 🙂

I like Magic Journeys, but I find that they are not super honest about food quality. I've been super disappointed in several food items that they absolutely RAVE about, so tread carefully. They are super fun to watch and I love their videos, but they've led me astray a couple times lately.

Is it them being dishonest, or you having a different taste for something than they did?

Food is so subjective. They honestly present the food, describe it well and even share price points.

I guess it could be that their taste buds are different than mine. They describe a lot of things as "not too sweet" and then I try them and its SO sweet my teeth hurt and it irritates my throat. I am a sugar lover, too. They also gave those Lion King cookies high marks and they were absolutely disgusting. All of them. Worst $10 I've ever spent. Again, just straight sugar. No other flavor.

They also have a tendency to sometimes give negative feedback, but follow it up with "but you've gotta try it!"

I see alot of people rave about the food at different places, and what they are really raving about is the portion size and price.

The taste is secondary to alot of people to the amount…
