pirate: How good/lame is the cushion that they give you as a 'souvenir?' anyone have any pictures of it?

I can take a picture at home tonight if I remember. It's a foam cushion. It's better than a blanket, kept my bum from getting cold and I found it comfortable. But I did find that the F! for BB was TOTALLY worth it! Just for the view. We had a great spot and only sunk 30 minutes of our time into waiting pre-show. Last trip I sat on a blanket (or my dh) for 4 hours, switching off the kids, to get pretty much the same spot! And the blanket was not nearly as nice as the cushion!

awesome, thank you! all the pre trip reports mentioned that the 'prize' was a cushion, but I can't find pictures anywhere

DSIL and I are doing F! BB package next week. (Can't wait to be in Cali and out of this cold MN weather)

Does the cushion say anything on it?

I'd be interested in seeing a picture of the cushion as well. We made reservations for February!

So I totally forgot to pull one out of my kids' room before bedtime, but I found a picture via google image search:

Looks like the cushion we use for the football stadium benches.
How crowded are the areas where you sit on the ground?
Does anyone have pictures of the various areas at show time?

Geemo

I agree with the pp the dinner at BB alone was worth the cost and I felt like the viewing was an added bonus. Favorite viewing of the show in many years - I 100% will do this on future trips!

Can this cushion deal possibly be as comfortable as the chairs with the dessert package were?

I don't think anything could be as comfortable as the chairs. While I never had the dessert package seating, my parents did and they were with us on this trip. They are quite elderly and getting on the ground was difficult, as was getting up. With that said, they both said they preferred the dinner/seating over the dessert. While the seat wasn't as comfortable, the view was every bit as good (and they went when you could sit outside of walt's apartment) and they really liked the dinner at BB over the dessert. We are not, however, big dessert eaters. In all our trips to disneyland (too many to count) we had never eaten at BB. I'm not sure I ever would have but my mother is a hugh fantasmic fan. After this experience, we will make it a tradition. I was really impressed with the meal but I'm not a hugh foodie -- I don't really get the point of paying that much for food USUALLY!!

I don't mind sitting on the ground and while the chairs with the dessert package were nice, I hated having to line up 3 hours early to pick the seats I wanted...also, none of us are big dessert eaters so most of ours went to waste.

We didn't have a great meal the last time we ate at BB, I am hoping this time is better!

Thank you for posting the pic!

I'm excited about my trip next week. Disneyland is special and I think this dinner/Fantasmic package with be a bonus :earsgirl:

I'm with you on this! The last two trips to Disneyland, I was the one spending the hours in line to make sure my aging in-laws had seats (they always were great seats though). Plus, we always left 3/4 of the desert boxes uneaten. However, I have really enjoyed the conversations with the people I met in line (a couple have been avid Disboard-ers). This year we will have more people with us but no one with ambulatory problems and had planned to do the Blue Bayou dinner for the F! seating. It sounds like this is a good plan.:cool1:

I had a great chat with the woman in line behind me...I even went and bought my iphone case because I saw hers and loved it! (Haunted Mansion wallpaper, yay!)

looks nice...but does an average (or large?) adult bum fit on it? :)

I'd say I'm "average" and it was fine. Dh is wider than Mr and he didn't complain either. Measuring, the cushion is 13 3/4" across at the bottom widest part, 12 1/2" at the narrow indent, 10 1/2" from the bottom up to where the handle begins, and 12 3/4" from bottom to very to, handle included. Hope that helps.

How early do you realistically have to be there to line up? Are all seats in the area equally good?
