Hi can anyone help can you fit full size crib easily into one bed apartment at BLT & still have room to move & access bathroom ! We cant put it in the lounge as teenagers in there !! dont think they would appreciate Ds 2 in with them.:rotfl:

I don't think there is enough space in the bedroom if you want to be able to get into the bed from both sides. It would be very tight and I wouldn't do it,

The only place I can think of would be in the sort of "hallway" from the bedroom to the bedroom door. One would fit there, but you wouldn't be able to position it until after you closed the bedroom door. There's not enough room at the foot of the bed or on either side of the bed.

If you have something slightly smaller than a full size crib, it would be a better fit and maybe allow you to get by as you come into the bedroom. If you have something shorter, you might be able to position it partially under the desk in the corner of the bedroom and still have room to get by the bed.

The bathroom would be an alternative, as there is a full bath by the entrance door that could be used at night, leaving the master bath dark and closed overnight. You wouldn't want to try to use the master bath with a crib by the sink as the fans are loud and are on when the lights are (and it's too dark without lights in there - you can't see your hand in front of your face). You would want to be sure you could fit the crib through the doorway though - I don't remember how wide the opening is, but as it's directly opposite the bedroom door, you wouldn't be turning any tight corners.

It appears your DS2 is too large for a pack 'n play so instead of crib could you bring a inflatable mattress? One of those might fit. Does anyone know for sure?

Maybe try contacting a baby's best friend because many use them for crib & baby equipment rental when vacationing; they may have by now already brought crib for guests staying at BLT and so may be able to give you better details on how that fit inside the master bedroom at the villa try this link to their site http://www.abbf.com/

Also their faq states that their cribs are full size 30 x 54 inches, if you post on Planning or Mousecellaneous board question with dimensions maybe some at BLT now or going very soon can use these measurements to better help determine where crib could fit.

Good luck :goodvibes

Thank you for all your replies not looking so good for 2 whole weeks we might have to learn to squeeze round the crib. DS 2 stillin crib at home not sure he would settle on matress for 2 wks. Hope I dont regret 2 wks in BLT now that would be sad !!
Used ABBF in the past cribs are big but fab if you have the space.

I am writing this from a 1 bedroom apartment at BLT, at the desk in the bedroom (very small, in the corner of the window/wall). I am exactly five feet tall. (60 inches). I just stretched out on the floor (hey, the carpet is really new in here) sideways between the bed and the window. With my feet touching the window, my head was exactly at the side of the bed. Therefore, you have 60 inches between the bed and the sliders. The only thing in this space is an armchair, rather heavy, but it could be moved into the living room (lounge) area, especially as you have teenagers to help! And a nightstand, which is very small and could be moved next to the desk. An earlier post said that A Baby's Best Friend rental crib, which you have used before? is 30 inches wide. It would definitely fit in this space. I would move the chair into the LR and put the crib beside the bed. Out of the way of common traffic in the room. Depending on how you position it, you would still have a couple of feet to squeeze into bed. There is plenty of room and to spare for the length. hope this helps, and that you enjoy BLT as much as we are right now!

Thank you so much you have made my day & given me a laugh at the same time as i now have this vision of you lying on the floor measuring up for my DS crib ! You are so kind to do this for someone you dont know & i appreciate it very much ! I phoned DVC & even they could not answer this question. I love the DIS board as people are always willing to help others enjoy there vacation.

Glad I made you smile. Honestly, my logic was this. I make a lot of costumes, so I'm used to knowing that a yard of fabric is approximately my nose to the end of my hand (quick and dirty way to measure out). So I started thinking about a known measurement that I could use to quantify the space. Since I am sure of my own height, that was the easiest "measuring tool". Have a great vacation and a safe trip.:stitch::eeyore:

At the BWV I was able to put a crib (full size metal one from the hotel) between the wall where the tub is and the bed. I had to climb to get in the bed but that didn't bother me.

Hi,

I stayed in a 1 bedroom at BLT last week with a full size crib from ABBF. We pushed the armchair into the corner next to the nightstand (we could still sit on it) and put the crib in front of the desk by the window. We had plenty of space to get around, although the desk wasn't really usable. Sorry, I didn't take a picture of it!

If your baby is a great sleeper, you could always put the crib out in the front hallway in front of the door connecting to the studio next door. it would block one closet, but there is enough space for a crib there. I considered it, but the slightest noise wakes up my DS and I knew the older kids would wake him up there.

Hope that helps!

Thank you all very much am feeling positively reassured. Born worrier that I am, I even thought about seeing if I could change resorts just so DS would have a full size crib !! Mad I know think my DH thought I'd lost it all together !
By the way I too know my older DS would wake DS 2 if they were in same room..
