Hey all!

I am in the planning stages of a early Feb 2022 8 night vacation for myself and my sons (will be 13 and 10 at the time of travel). We have stayed at the Poly and loved it, but not DVC. I have stayed at The Contemporary a long, long time ago, but again, not DVC. I am having a hard time picking between BLT and Poly. Being on the monorail is something that is important to my boys...other than that, they don't have a preference. Thoughts? TIA!

Studios at both places? For rooms there's a big difference as the Poly studios are large and have 2 showers and the BLT studios are "cute and compact" with the single bathroom.

If you were 2 instead of 3 then I think it gets into the comparisons in the resorts. Or if tight room quarters don't bother you.

I like the theming much better at POLY. And hopefully by then all construction will be complete. Plus you could walk next door to GF or hop monorail to Contemporary.

I would go with the Poly. More room, 1 real queen bed plus a queen sofa bed, plus a twin Murphy bed. A full bath, plus a second bath area, shower and sink, NO toilet. Easy monorail to MK and EPCOT.

Yes, studios at both! Thanks for the insight!

BLT is fine in a studio for a couples trip, or with a baby in a PnP. Otherwise, BLT is best done in the 1BR.

I would vote for Poly for you and your travel companions. BLT studios get cozy with just 2 people in them! LOL!!!

I vote for Poly as well. With your 2022 dates, the renovations will be done and the Monorail stop will be running again.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the input. I thought that BLT would be just fine for us (my boys are now 9 and 12 and are the size of a 7 and 10 yr old respectively) considering my "mama's boy" youngest would be fine sharing a bed with me. However, considering their ages (puberty around the corner ) and everyone's input, I think we will go with the POLY. Thanks!

For a studio, Poly all the way. The rooms are much more spacious and you have an extra shower. Plus I prefer Captain Cook’s over Contempo.

I'm a BLT lover (we own there), but if you are staying in a studio, Poly is the way to go. Enjoy!

The only true advantage of BLT is walking to MK, but even with that Poly has better ambiance, food, room space and boats if you want to avoid monoriel lines..
