BLT studios at 7 months

We are planning a trip Oct 27th to November 10th, 2018 and plan to spend most of those two weeks at AKL. We will hopefully plan to book that at the 11 month window. However, we would love to stay anywhere from 2-7 nights at BLT in a studio. My question is what do you think the chances are of getting a studio at BLT for 2-7 consecutive days at the 7 month window for this time of year? Also, would the view tend to be MK at that stage or would other views potentially be open? Thanks, Greg

And lake view may be difficult. You sorta have an advantage with a flexible amount of days.

Lake view at BLT is always the most likely views. People generally either spend way up for the Theme Park view or they look to go the cheapest route and book Standard, leaving Lake views with the most availability (and the most inventory to begin with).

We've always had pretty good luck getting lake views at 7 months, although the fact that you want a studio rather than a 1 bedroom can make it more difficult (or so we've noticed lately). All in all, I'd say you've got a decent shot at getting a BLT lake view for at least some of the time you're looking at, if not all. Good luck!

I think you will have a much better chance for the first week of your trip vs the second. That second week is often referred to as Jersey Week because there is a state wide teachers' convention that occurs on Thurs/Fri every year giving all NJ public schools a 4 day weekend and so many Jersey families take advantage of it. Also assuming the Wine and Dine 1/2 marathon doesn't change weekends it will occur during your trip dates as well (the first weekend in Nov). We own at BLT and decided to make a quick trip over the long Veterans' Day weekend this year. At approx 8.5 months all BLT studios were gone for Nov 9th so I booked the 10-12 lake view and waitlisted for the 9th. My waitlist did come through quickly but by 7 months I saw that there was spotty availability for that week. This year may have been worse with Friday being the holiday (I think next year it will be observed on the following Monday) but I definitely think that week is typically busier than the week prior.

I'd agree that the best chance will be the beginning of your trip. The second part you hit Jersey week, Veterans Day, Wine and Dine race and on top of that it's Food and Wine. BLT will likely be gone at 7 months and you'd just have to try and waitlist or catch some cancellation.

Chances are low, even for two nights in lake view. BLT studios, including lake view, are usually gone most days before 7 months out between late Sep and marathon weekend in January. The time you will be there has additonal problems. Jersey week is one, another is that Nov 8-10 is part of the last weekend of food and wine, an extremely high DVC demand time, and Nov 1-4 will likely be the Wine & Dine half marathon weekend, the highest DVC demand weekend of the year when even SSR can fill before 7 months out. For the comparable two week period in 2017, Oct 28-Nov 11, there were no BLT studios, lake view or otherwise, open for any of those days at 7 months out.
