BLT Standard View question

I know that this question has been answered in various forms here so I apologize for asking a similar question.

I just booked our first trip home to BLT! :cool1: We're going with friends in October and I booked a 2 bedroom lock off standard view. I said something when booking about requesting the outer C I think but I'm not sure if it was put on there or not.

I know that the standard rooms are on the lowest level. I think the highest is maybe on the 5th floor. So if our goal is to have a view of some sort of the park would my request be, even numbered room, north side, high floor? Or would it be better to request not ground floor? Or is that too much.

Its not like we will be devastated if we don't get exactly what we want, I mean we'll be in Disney so everything else is a plus right? But this is our friends first real trip, and our first time at BLT. And I've never stayed in a room with a view of the park, its always been a dream. But we also don't want to use the points to get a dedicated theme park view. If we don't see the park it won't be the end of the world.

I guess I just want reassurance that I'm not over thinking this or shooting myself in the foot by putting in that request. And that I have it worded right too I guess.

Thanks for any help and I apologize for asking a question that I'm sure has basically been answered before. I checked the thread on the views but the chart or whatever it is is blocked by my work computer.

we had a standard vew 1Br a couple of weeks ago and all I did was ask for upper floor. We got a room on the 4th floor which overlooked the loading dock and the parking lot but space mountain was in the distance. It was fine and suited our needs.

If you requested "not first floor" you should be fine.
