BLT Room Charges & Rewards Card

Anyone know if I can use my rewards to pay for room charges at BLT?

We did last Oct. It was kind of goofy though. We had to put our CC on file for charges (which we always do). Then we had to go to the front desk to have them swipe the rewards card instead of charging the credit card. they can't put the rewards card on file like they do a CC.

I think they said accounting automatically charges the card when you hit $500 (I don't remember for sure if it was $500). We had like $750 on our card, and usually charge over $500 on our trips (we charge everything to the room - all food, souvenirs, etc). So we had to go to the desk to do an interim charge on the rewards card during the trip. Otherwise, I think they said just to go charge the rewards card the night before your checkout day.

Great, thanks! This will be so much easier than trying to remember which locations in WDW accept the actual rewards card.

I was able to use my Visa rewards card just about everywhere I tried... mostly used it for meals. I didn't want to miss getting my room charge debited from the rewards card before they put it through to the cc during the week. So, I used my rewards card to pay for everything... it was just as easy as giving them the room key for room charge. A few times when I couldn't use it, then I put the charge to the room.

In my case I knew that I probably wouldn't have enough to cover the whole week with the rewards card anyway. As it ends up, only ended up with $80 worth of room charges and everything else I used my rewards card for.
