BLT Monorail info

I am thinking about renting at BLT in Oct 2011, if I can find enough points for a 2br. My main reason for choosing blt over a more affordable resort is the conveniance of the monorail. We have small children, 2 4 & 10. Plus they have fun on it. Is the walk from blt to the contemporary very long? Trying to see if it is worth it. There will be 9 of us, 6 adults, 3 kids.

It is a very easy walk. It takes us about 10 minutes to get there. We bought BLT for this reason. We love the easy to/from the park.

And, if you really want, on the way home, you can take the monorail, and the CR is the first stop!

The walkway from the BLT is on the 5th floor and takes you to the 4th floor of the Contemporary. The walk varies, depending on where your room is in BLT, but the walk isnt bad. Plus, the walk to MK from BLT is no more than 10 minutes!! You should even be able to request a room close to the elevators that will take you to the BLT Walkway!!

yep - i wouldn't take the monorail to the MK, you'd have to stop at the ticket center, the poly and the GF before you finally get to the park.

One nice thing is bus access from MLK to everywhere. You can make the 10 minute walk (a little less to the bus stops) over and catch a bus anywhere for dinner resies, etc.

That's a perk of BLT/CR you don't have elsewhere.

Walk to MK (or to MK bus stop for any transportation to other resorts for dining reservations) - about 10 minutes
Walk or monorail from MK to CR/BLT
Monorail to/from TTC where you switch to the Epcot line
Bus everywhere else

You'd have to taxi to Universal - it's a different theme park entirely. Assume you meant Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. Yes, bus there.
