We are waiting to see the new room rates for 2014 but I do have a question. He hard is it to get a DVC rental the last week of January? I did not know if that was a high demand time or we could wait another month or 2 before trying to find one.

Theme park view and standard view will be far harder than lake view because there's fewer of them. Last week of January is a terribly busy time for DVC, but timeshare resorts book up much faster than Disney's other resorts.

Though end of Jan is not a high DVC demand time, you should not wait beyond 7 months out from date of arrival to try to book at BLT through an owner. Owners at a particular resort can book up to 11 months out. Then, at 7 months out, owners can book any resort. The result is very often, particularly for near park resorts, that anything that is still left open disappears quickly once that 7 month reservation window opens. In other words, between now and the beginning of the last week of June, you need to find someone who can make a BLT reservation using points so that the reservation is made no later than the beginning of tHe last week of June.
