BLT discounts done?

Just curious....are the referral discounts really done as of 7/1 for BLT?

Do you mean the discounts you get when you buy points and use a DVC member as a referral? (sorry, not DVC.......yet). I did a presentation yesterday and was not given a sheet for BLT with referral discounts. Just Aulani and AKV. The CM said BLT was sold out.

When was a BLT sellout announced?

Not exactly sure but I believe it was in the previous few days because the CM seemed excited that it had happened already.

I do not think BLT is sold out yet, they had some 800,000 points left a few weeks ago.

The points through June's OCC numbers were about half this left.

Just over 5.1 million in contracts that we've found on the OCC.
Just over 1% of the resort is not being declared at this time (using it for sales).
Additionally, DVD must own a minimum of 2% of the declared points for breakage. Some have reported the number may be closer to 4 or 5 percent that DVD keeps when a resort is referred to as sold out.

It's a bit surprising that BLT is "sold out", but it's not out of the realm of possibilities if DVD honors contracts that were written during the last few months but have not been returned.

Based on contracts from the OCC, there have been contracts with a typed date of February that were not signed or closed until August.

As of this morning they are still selling BLT. We asked if we would like to go to a presentation by CM. They told us BLT was on track to sell out by August.
