BLT Developer Points

Do BLT Developer Points have to be used by October 3, 2009? If they are used for Interval International, when does travel need to be completed?

Developer Points must be used within 12 months of the date you received them. If you purchased on 10/3/08 you have until 10/03/09 to use them. If banked into the World Passport Collection, you will have 2 years to use the exchange.

Developer Points are a sales incentive curently in place for purchases at AKV and BLT. Buy 100 or more points as an add-on and get a matching number of developer points as the incentive. For new purchases, the minimum for the incentive is 160 points. These points must be used within a year of purchase. They cannot be banked or transferred and may only be used at SSR, DL resorts or World Passport Collection. Some may also be used for a DCL cruise.

As my guide said, BLT DPs are to be used only at SSR......

My guide was away last week, so I finally spoke with her yesterday.

Even though I purchased the first week BLT was available, I was given two choices. I had to let her know which I wanted because each has a code that has to be inputed into their system.

The first choice was matching developer points to be used by 10/3/09 at either SSR, DL or the World Passport Collection.

The second choice was a 3 night stay in a one bedroom villa at any DVC resort. The only catch with this option is that it must be booked at the seven month window.

Since I had a 3 night stay booked at AKV for May, which was booked at the 7 month window, I took this option. The point value is 153 points and I would not be able to fit in another vacation by 10/3/09.

She said I will be able to call MS next week to reallocate the points.

Only BLT developer points purchased onboard DCL can be used towards cruising... reservations must be initiated within 12 months of the contract date and cruise completed within 24 months of contract date.

The BLT developer points I received onboard the Magic last week can be used at SSR, thru II, at DL, or on DCL.

My info states that reservations for stays through II must be initiated within 12 months of the contract date and stay completed within 24 months of contract date.
