BLT Checkin process ~ Questions

Okay, so I want to be prepared when we check in (NEXT SUNDAY! OMG!).

I know BLT check in is at CR, but can someone walk me through the steps one would take for this?

For example, is there short-term parking to pull up and go in and check in, then go back to the car and proceed to drive to BLT parking lot?

Or do we need to bring the car to BLT and walk over to CR to check in and then back to car to get bags, back to room, etc. (you get the idea).

Trying to visualize where we're headed (and which signs to follow as we come in).

We will have our rental car and luggage with us at this point.

There is short-term parking right in front of CR. I think it's 30 minutes.

There is a lot in the front. Just drive through instead of stopping where the valets are and go around and you will see where it is. Of course, depending on when you arrive, it may or may not be full.

We checked in last week and decided to just self park in front of BLT and then walk over since it was 7:30 am and didn't think the room would be ready and planned to just leave the luggage in the car until it was (there was nothing I thought would be a problem staying in the hot car).

We were surprised that the room was done so we just walked back to the car, got the luggage and headed in through the front of BLT.

So, when you are arriving, are there two different (parking) entrances -- one to go into BLT and one to go into CR? We too will be arriving early Sunday (guessing 8:30 or 9), and are going to spend the day at BLT pool whether room is ready or not. What would you suggest?

The guard shack is the same for both BLT and CR. But the BLT parking lot, after going through the guard is to the left and the CR and its lots are to the right.

We found it just easier to park the car in front of BLT (we were heading to MK and knew we wouldn't be moving it that day) and just walk from there into the CR. It only took 5 minutes from the lot to the front desk. And, if the short term parking spots are full, you will end up either in the lot then send people for the 3 hour parking or the BLT lot anyway.

If it were me, I would just park in front of BLT and walk over--especially if you are not leaving the resort. This way, you won't have to move the car once you check in. And, if you are lucky enough to have the room ready, your car will be where you want it to bring up the luggage! Of course, the other option would be to drive up to the CR, have one of you get out to go check in, while the other parks at BLT, and then meets you in the CR lobby.

Have a great time--I loved the resort and can't wait to go back in Dec. with just my DH. And, I get to book next summer's trip on the 31st of this month!!!
