BLT at 7 months?

Do you think I will have any trouble booking a Standard View 2BR at BLT at 7 months in May (not Memorial Day)?

I tried to book a 2-bedroom standard view at 7 months for Aug 2010. I had to take a lake view unit, no standard views available.

good luck with this. this seems to be the hot new place and at the 7 month mark people are booking it up. we had a little trouble book a 1 bedroom at the 11 month since this is our home resort

SV rooms are the first to go. I think you should have no problem with LV but will probably have to wait list for that.

We booked our summer trip (early August)last year in a SV room right at 11 months. At 10 months, I had to shift a few dates and they told me that SV rooms were getting scarce.

When I called back at 7 months to switch a few nights to BCV, the SV rooms at BLT were gone so we booked BCV first and then cancelled the SV rooms.

I just booked a standard 2 bedroom for april 2-9 at the seven month window. However, I just tried to add an extra night and they are not available.

I booked lake view for President's week at exactly 7 months. If you have enough points maybe you could keep lake view as an option.

Alright, you all sufficiently freaked me out, so I borrowed some of my 2012 BLT points to be able to use home resort priority and book now rather than waiting until 7 month booking (most of my points are OKW so at 7 months I would have been using all 2011 points).

Anyway, I'm glad I did, because even now (8 months) there were no Standard view 2 bedrooms available! I took the LV and waitlisted for Standard.

You may have to stay open for your views but if you call right at 9:00AM you may have a shot. I have never had a problem getting my rooms doing this. The only other suggestion is renting your points and renting points from someone that can book 11 months out.

We didn't want to borrow points, so I used what I had of BLT points at 11mos for a SV ded 2br, then called at 7mos to add the rest of the nights I wanted...and there weren't any! (this was for late Aug.) So I booked the remaining nights LV, then waitlisted to hopefully not have to change rooms...no luck. We had four nights SV, then four nights LV. I should have borrowed, changing rooms was such a pain with four kids!!!

We stayed at BLT this past April. We booked a 1 BR SV at the 7 month mark with no issues. Good luck!

We were able to book a studio for last Thanksgiving weekend and then a 2 bedroom LV for this past June. I was waitlisted for the 2 bedroom for less than a week and it came through.

We loved the 2 bedroom, it was huge!!!

I would think that you should not have any problems.

You mean I shouldn't have problems getting the SV waitlist? I don't rly have a call to make at the 7 month mark now that I borrowed the points for the LV...if there were no SV rooms at 8 months there won't be any at 7 mos.

It really depends on when you want to go. I tried to book a 1BR (any view) for early December and could only get one night. And...this was before the 7 month window opened up. I have waitlisted for the following 3 nights, but there is a slim chance it will come through.

I think you were wise to book and waitlist now before the 7 month window opens. I booked BLT with other points at the 7 month window the first week of May (2010) and there were no standards available at the 7 month window for a 1 bedroom (which is generally easier to get). I also own at BLT, and bought there only to use for the standard view. I did book my Oct. 31 (4 night) reservation at the 11 month window for a 2 bedroom standard and was nervous I would not get it at the 11 month window. At least you are ahead of anyone else wanting to waitlist at the 7 month window. Your odds are better than others. At the 7 month window there will be movement of folks who are booked at BLT and wanting to move elsewhere.

I called at the 11 month mark at 9 am for a 2 bedroom and only had the choice of lake or MK view..... Glad I had the points for the Lakeview (which is what I really wanted anyway lol).

DITTO!!! I booked a MKV 1 BDRM for April 2011 at the 11 month mark using all of our BLT points (yup....borrowed from 2012)! I also have OKW points available...and at the 7 month mark....which is in a couple of weeks, I hope and pray we can add on to our current reservation using those points. Listening to these posts I'm so nervous I won't be able to add on my last two nights....EEK!!
I also have a "cash" reservation made thru MS for BLT for next May....wanted a 1 BDRM MKV, but they only had Studios available! I've been calling every so often to try to change it!!

At the 7 month window there will be movement of folks who are booked at BLT and wanting to move elsewhere.

I'm counting on that strategy to get what I need for BOTH of my reservations!!

so glad I read this.. we just book our AKV Kidani dedicated 2 bedr. 11 mos today.. but want to change it to BLT STD view. We need a handicapped room so that may work for or against us.. .. if not hopefully we can get into BeachClub or Boardwalk..
