I am looking into changing my current reservation from a 1br MK split LV room in May to a 2BR stay to accommodate added guests. I don't want to split the stay with all of those people and would like to conserve some points. Can anyone tell me what the main differences are with the SV and LV 2BR's.

Standard view will be on floors 1-5. If you get a 1st floor room, it will have a patio and not a balcony. You may still have a good view, depending on the room they give you. Lake view will have some type of view of the lake, most likely floors 5 and up, but there are some lake view rooms on lower floors. It depends on the specific room. I was told that if you can see the lake from inside the room it is lake view. Many of the standard view rooms have a lake view if you go out the balcony and look to the left or right.

Check out the thread called "What's in a BLT" under the Planning section of this forum. There is a lot of great information there and pictures of several of the views from the various types of rooms. We had a MK view, but several of the LV rooms actually had better views of the "kingdom" and for less points.

Also, it seems easier to get LV than SV. When I called a month ago to make my late May reservations, my only options were MKV and LV (SV were all gone for 2 bedrooms). I prefer to save points and am not as concerned about the view. I know next time to call at 11 months to get SV.
