Hello,

Would one of the bathrooms have a shower nozzle that can be lifted from the wall? Or do all the showers have heads that are permanently attached? (needed for mobility challenged individual)

Also, do any BLT 2 bedrooms have a king bed plus two real queen beds?

Are these bookable categories or request only?

Thank you!

A dedicated 2-bedroom villa at BLT will have 2 queen beds in the second bedroom. There is another type of 2-bedroom, which is a lock-off (studio & 1-bedroom w/interior connecting door). Both are booking categories, but typically only the lock-off states so in the room type.

If you booked an accessible room with roll in shower the head will lift off. I think an accessible with a tub also would but haven't had one at BLT. Otherwise they are fixed to the wall. At VWL we have had maintenance replace the shower head with a handheld for similar reasons so perhaps BLT would be able to do the same.

Good to know. Thank you very much!

Thank you! I am encouraged that maintenance was able to switch the shower head for a hand held at VWL. I hope that BLT would also do so because we need a dedicated two bedroom (1 king + 2 queens) for sleeping and I am concerned about being able to book something that specific.

I'm pretty sure the 2bd at BLT had a shower with a hand-held wand. I don't have any pictures, though. I also think it had a rainfall style shower head, too.

Edited to add: The only pictures I've found online show a handheld wand in the accessible rooms.

Bookings are that specific. Accessible rooms at BLT with roll in showers that would then have the handheld shower are in the Lakeview category. There is one, maybe 2 of them that are dedicated which means they have the 2 queens in the second bedroom.

If it did then you might have been in an accessible. Here's what it normally is like.

It is very good news that the configuration actually exists.
Now, the next challenge is finding it available to book when we are going! LOL!

Thank you for your help!!
This is really what I needed to know!

A friend of mine keeps a wrench and his preferred shower head in his owners locker...and yes, he re-installs the original when he checks out.

I don't think the shower head at BLT can be easily removed. It's flush-mounted.

In the 2nd or 3rd bathroom it will be possible. They are not the same mount as the master.

And if OP reserves the HA accessible with the roll in shower there will be a handheld already there.

Have you noticed the check-box that is on the booking page that says to "search for accessible rooms"? Once you check that it will only show you the categories that have those rooms. At BLT there are also quite a few rooms that are FL accessible - ie, higher toilets, grab bars and usually have aids for hearing impaired so there will appear to be quite a few options but many won't fit for what you want. Once you search on the room if there is more than one type of accessible room there will be a drop down that you want to use to select the type you want - in this case the roll in shower. The roll in shower is available in both the dedicated and the lock-off and it will probably pull up both when you search so just be certain you are choosing the dedicated. You can take a look at it on the booking page anytime to see how it works and what the types are.
