I am thinking of trying to get a 1 bedroom room at BLT at 7 months. I read somewhere, but can't find it now, of the floors and room numbers of the 1 BR STD view rooms that had a partial theme park and Bay Lake view. Can anyone point me to the right place?

I googled "bay lake tower room layout" and was then able to find the disboard discussion about this topic that included a list of all room types and views.

Work2play's thread on BLT's Rooms and Views is an excellent source. Here is a link to her thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2257082

We just stayed at 7136- we loved the view. Straight out and you see the marina and back of CR and a little to the left you can see a bit of the lake.

We do not care too much about the view so if we can save some points we take SV-

It was nice being on ground floor and we were not too far from elevator to take up to the 5th floor.

Getting a standard view at BLT at 7 months is unlikely to happen. Lake view, yes. Theme park view or standard view, no. Unless you are just looking for a single night, maybe two.

I find it rare to get a standard view without a wiatlist at 10.5 months so if you get one it would be pretty amazing. Even if you look toward the MK it will be mainly of the parking lot since the rooms only go up to floor 3-5 depending on the spot around the resort.

I agree with others, getting a standard room at BLT is rare, then getting a decent view with the standard room is even more rare. We also just returned home from our stay at BLT. We booked at the 11 month window and felt lucky to get the 1 bedroom standard view. We were hoping for that glimmer of MK view I've heard about. I even called and tried to get on the tennis court side of the building since that side does go up to the 5th floor, and hoping to see the MK if tilting my head to one side. We got not the 5th floor, but the ground floor and got the view of the marina if I stood on my toes to see over the tall grass. We were not disappointed. While we would've love to have gotten our request, we didn't, but we didn't have to worry about the grand daughters fighting over the elevator buttons....and we just walked to the end of the hall and went out the back doors right to the pool, which made filling up the mugs a quicker process than going into the CR. We were in room 7142.

The best chance for getting a partial view of the fireworks is to request a room on the even side of the building, northern end.

There are both LV and SV rooms that fit the bill. As already mentioned, I think getting SV at 7 months is difficult but even if you end up with only LV, you can put in the same request.
