Sooo...

I asked this question last year, as I am planning a New Year's trip in Dec 2013 and the advice was to see what happens in the next couple of years. So as we have now well passed the 11 mth window for NY 2012, I was wondering - how easy was it for you to book a 1 bed MK view at 11 months out, over New Years?

I have exactly the right number of points to book 4 nights in a 1 bed from 30th Dec until 2nd Jan, and whilst I do have BLT points and the 11 mth advantage, I am concerned whether I will be able to get my reservation if people are still at the resort from the Christmas period.

So - how did you do with your 11mth NYE reservations? Did you need to 'walk' the booking? (something I really don't want to do):worried:

Many thanks for any info:thumbsup2

The only way to guarantee the reservation is to walk it.

thank you :thumbsup2

Have you any idea how early I should start to walk it? I've only got 200 pts to play with, so will walking still work for me ? (At the most 'expensive' christmas weekends, it would cost my 150pts and I wouldn't have enough for a 3rd night)

Many thanks for any advice:thumbsup2

although no one can predict availability, i was able to get blt for nye arrival of 12/27 at just under 7 months. i also have never walked a ressie to this date, don't want to hold up my points & never had an issue getting a room at 11 months out our home resorts. hopefully whatever you choose works best for you. :wizard:

Walking it is no gaurantee either. I tried to walk a reservation for NYE 2011 at the BW in Grand Villa. I was walking the reservation when I called 11 months from 12/18/11, 2 days before the reservation ended, I was told there was no availability after the 20th. I realize there is inventory with which Disney can do as it pleases. I spoke to a manager at the time and he told me someone had booked it before me, which wasn't possible. A happy ending I wait listed and we did get the reservation

We walked our reservation for the past New Years Eve. ( only wanted a 1 bedroom standard- but we got a 1 br lake view!!)

We booked the 26-4. ( we were only there the 30-4) at the time there were only 2 rooms left. ( 11 mos window.)

Wow - thats good to know - I had thought you were safe when you walked a reservation - didn't realise we could still miss out!:guilty:

Thats great to know - I am so hoping I won't need to do that either. We have enough for 4 nights in a one bed, but in order to walk it, we would only be able to book 2 nights at a time because of the really expensive holiday weekends - so depending on when we start walking, I would be needing to ring daily!:sad2:

Can I ask what date you started to walk your reservation? - it looks difficult to choose a date to start walking from because obviously the christmas build up is very popular too!
