Blowing out 22 candles in Disney World! NEW 8.24 page 25

YAY, you started! I always love seeing the ME pictures. They make me happy for some reason.

I have never been to PH. It looks kind of cool!

Can't wait for more! popcorn::

Whoo! You are there! The new stuff on the buses look cool!

Okay, this is totally random but...I'm so glad you posted something about "Hocus Pocus" because I was trying to think of the name of this movie FOREVER last night and it was driving me nuts!

Haha glad I could help! :lmao:

I love it! I love reading your TRs. You are so detailed and add tons of pictures. I might try PH this summer too, since I got a package. It might be fun to just try it and to take pictures. Did you just walk up?

Have fun packing for Germany!

Thanks! Yup I just walked right up no ressies at all. I was really suprised that there wasn't many people there.

The ME makes me happy too! It just means you are officially there!

Great start! :thumbsup2

I totally agree about PH. I'm glad I went but the food is just chain restaurant food. I never really had a great experience there but the atmosphere is fun and sometimes just too loud.

Can't wait for more! :goodvibes

So the Disney ME check in has changed, eh? Does it go faster this way? When I went in September, I think the line to check in for ME was the longest line we stood in! :rotfl:

Hi everyone! Hope you are all having a great weekend. Last night my brothers and I went to go see Disney/Pixars new movie UP in 3-d. Let me just say it's so good! Such a cute story! If you are looking for something to do this weekend or next definatly go and see this movie! Haha end of my little side note!

From Downtown Disney I took the bus from the marketplace to the Contemporary then from there it was the monorail! I just love the monorail and I could seriously ride it all day and be content. Anyway I made it to the Magic Kingdom and took it all in. You know when you have that ‘I’m here’ moment…well mine is walking through the tunnels and hearing the music of Main St.

I was home!
ry%3D400

I decided to take the train over to toontown and see how long the line for the fairy meet and greet was.
ry%3D400

ry%3D400

When I got to the judges tent there were 2 lines. One for the Princess’ and the other for Tink and her friends. The line for the Princess’ was 20 minutes while the wait for Tink was 35! I was actually pretty shocked because I read on here that the lines were pretty bad at 75+ minutes. So without hesitation I hopped in line.
ry%3D400

ry%3D400

When you finally get to the front of the line a CM takes a small group into the next hallway where it is all decorated like a forest and as you go down the trees get bigger and bigger. Making it seem like you are shrinking down to fairy size and you can see a trail of pixie dust flying around.
ry%3D400

The CM then takes you into the next room (Pixie Hollow) where Tink and 2 of her friends are. When I got in there Silvermist, Fawn and Tink were in there. It’s so cute they really take the time to talk to you and they all interact with each other. You basically have the attention of all 3 while it’s your turn. That’s why I’m figuring the lines get crazy long. But I think it’s totally worth it!
They were so much fun to talk to! If you love the Tink movie you have to do this meet and greet!
ry%3D400

Sorry thats a picture of a picture. All the pictures from my meet and greet were all taken with photopass (I totally forgot to ask if they could use my camera too).

After you meet with the fairies you leave the room and head down the exit hallway which is decorated with pixiedust! Disney really doesn’t leave anything unturned.

ry%3D400

I’m sorry I don’t really have many pictures for the rest of the day because I was just so excited to be there and enjoying the moment. (No worries though there are tons for the rest of the tr.)

After meeting with Tink and her friends I headed over to Fantasyland and rode It’s a Small World and saw the Phillarmagic show. The lines weren’t bad at all. Everything I saw was 20 minutes or under except for Peter Pan. Spending some time in Fantasyland I made my way back to Main St just to hang out for a bit and people watch. Spending time on Main St is one of my favorite things to do at the MK. Just the sighs, sounds and smells just bring back so many memories. It truly is one of my ‘happy places’.

It was getting late at this point and it had been a long day. I decided to head back to Pop and go for a swim then head off to bed for my first full day at WDW and my birthday!

Great start! :thumbsup2

Thanks! PH was fun to explore but the food and service need some work.

So the Disney ME check in has changed, eh? Does it go faster this way? When I went in September, I think the line to check in for ME was the longest line we stood in! :rotfl:

I thought it was so much faster! All the CM does at the check in is rip out one of the pages of your ME book and write down how many bags they need to pick up. Then your off on your way. Fast and easy!

Cheryl! Heeeeeeeey! I'm so sorry I haven't been in contact with you lately. Life had taken a turn for the worse and I have so much stuff going on, that I had no time for the DIS or pretty much ANYTHING! I'm excited to hear all about your trip... I'll have to live through yours seeing as how we weren't able to go.

I'm surprised that the Fairy line was only about 35 minutes long! That's awesome and the picture of you & Tink is too cute! :goodvibes

Hey Cheryl! I just got back from Philadelphia so now it's time to catch up on all the TRs. haha! First off, that's cool you saw UP! It does look like a cute movie. I definitely want to see it. Second, I am jealous you got to meet Silvermist and Fawn! Glad you enjoyed the meet-and-greet. :)

Loved the update, Cheryl! I have the exact same "I'm here!" moment - walking through the tunnel and coming out on Main Street. As cliché as it sounds, it's like you're in a different world. :cloud9:

And, ohmigosh, you look great! You can definitely tell you've been working hard. :thumbsup2

Ok, that did it! I'm going to meet Tinkerbell! Sometimes it's nice to just be in the moment rather than take pictures. I've been known to do that and I'm always the "unofficial photographer" of anything I go to! Can't wait to see what else you did in the World!

Hey Lauren! I hope everything is alright with you and Jake. Hoping things turn to the better for you!

Thanks so much for your kind words Jenny!

It's not cliché at all. I totally know what you mean! Thats part of why I love WDW so much. It's truly amazing the kind of place it is. :goodvibes

Hope you had a good weekend!

:lmao: I'm glad I was able to convince you! Seems like I do that a lot. :rolleyes1 I think you will really enjoy the meet and greet. For what it's worth the day I met them it was a Monday afternoon around 4:30 when I got in line. I've also read that another way to hit short lines is to be there right at Toontown rope drop.

I think you do convince me a lot! I like to see what others think of things. And I get the impression that you and I like the same things, at Disney at least! So yup, you convince me!

Speaking of convincing me, my friend might drive his mom down to see a cousin in Naples, FL, spend some time there, and then drive up and do Disney with me. I may end up at Sea World after all. That's if he can convince his mom to go down there! LOL If I do, I'll take tons of pictures to show you!

Yea it does seem like we like a lot of the same things. :thumbsup2 Haha I just hope it's a good thing...all the convincing that is!

Sounds like you are going to have such a great trip! I would love to hear all about it. If you head over to Sea World I would love to hear all about that too! I really hope to make it over there...maybe next time.

Cute pic of you and Tink! I'll have to say, I saw the movie TinkerBell for the first time this weekend. I was a little hesitant, but I LOVED it! I watched it with my sister, and she and I both thought it was so cute! Can't wait to read about your birthday! I hope it was full of Disney Magic!

I still haven't seen the Tinkerbelle movie. I need to put that in my Netflix queue! :wizard:

8 days to Germany!

Hey guys!!! I’m so sorry this has been a long time coming. I’ve been so busy but I promise that once I get back from Germany I will be posting on a more regular basis!!!

May 12

So I was awaken this morning not by my mickey wakeup call but rather my family calling to wish me a happy birthday. I quickly got dressed and headed out to Epcot! I was super excited to hit my favorite park (tied with the MK) and see the Flower and garden festival. I made my way to the bus stop and there was no one in line…that usually means you just missed the bus. Sure enough one had just come and went. this trip I noticed something with the busses. They seemed to be like clockwork just about 20 minutes apart. For some reason I remember them coming closer together. Anyway when I made it to Epcot it was a little after 9 and I headed to the ticket window to get my birthday gift. The CM at the window was super nice and gave me the option of a fastpass for the day, a park ticket to use within the year or a giftcard worth the price of a one day ticket. I picked the last choice. The CM wished me a happy b-day handed me my giftcard and a b-day button and I was off to enjoy the park.

Once through the gates my first stop is always Spaceship earth.
ry%3D400

I just love this ride! From the music and smells (haha I know that sounds crazy). I really like the new updates to it too with the touch screens and designing your future.

After riding SE I noticed these cute little bird topiaries from fantasia.
ry%3D400

I then saw a sign outside innovations (east, I believe) for the new Kim Possible attraction and I figured I would head inside and see what it was all about. When you go in there are touch screens on the wall and they walk you through what the attraction is. If you choose to do it then you slide your park ticket, enter how many people are playing then a ticket prints out (like a fastpass with a time and location to report to).
ry%3D400

I didn’t have to report till 11:15 in Norway so I still had time to kill.
ry%3D400

I checked out Mousegears and saw so many cute things I wanted to buy but I decided to hold on to my giftcard for now. I thought this was a super cute display...
ry%3D400

The futureworld fountains were going off...
ry%3D400

Though the park had just opened...there seemed to be no one around...
ry%3D400

I made my way up to the Land and the line for Soarin’ was already 30 minutes so I decided to check out the Circle of life film since I’ve never seen it before. I waited maybe 5 minutes before we were let into a huge theater. Who would of thought that huge theater was there…not me that’s for sure. The film was really good and sends a good message. I was glad I took the time this trip to see it.
ry%3D400

ry%3D400

After the film the line for Soarin’ only grew so I headed over to Journey into imagination which was a walk on. After riding this I ALWAYS have that song stuck in my head. I still had time before the world showcase opened and I had to be in Norway so I hung around the Kodak photo lab that’s at the end of the ride. I ended up making this dorky picture of myself. Lol
ry%3D400

ry%3D400

Outside...
ry%3D400

ry%3D400

And I had to take a picture of this stage...I performed there in 2001 with my school choir!
ry%3D400

After spending sometime in the lab I headed over to the World showcase and noticed some beautiful Goofy, Pluto and lion king themed topiaries.

I made my way over to the Kim Possible check in in Norway and was given my ‘Kimunicator’ (cell phone).
ry%3D400

It runs through some quick instructions on how to use the kimunicator. I was told to head over to China and wait for my assignment. Once in China my kimunicator started talking and sent me on some missions through the country. It was so cool because once infront of what you were sent to find…the item would actually have a reaction. It’s so hard to explain but some would move or things would appear that weren’t there before. Like this one...it appeared in the middle of the pond in China.
ry%3D400

If you are in epcot defiantly give this a try! After my mission I was given the chance to do another or turn in my device at a drop location. I decided to drop it off and continue on and enjoy the world showcase.

Up next…around the world then the craziest weather in Florida I’ve EVER seen!

Thanks! Isn't it such a cute movie?!

Aw, Tink! :goodvibes

Ahhh it's 3 days away. I have so much to do and I feel so unprepaired. This is so not like going to Disney. haha!

Great update! Looks like you had a good start to your day at Epcot. Thanks for the information on the Kim Possible stuff. I can't wait to try that when we go...I don't care if it's for kids or not, I am doing it!
