We make tamales every year for Christmas. It's cool to see Disneyland getting into the tradition. I have to say their recipe looks pretty traditional.

I'm from Texas where we eat tamales for the holidays every year but now I'm living in NY with my husband and I can honestly say I miss tamales so much! I should make them here but I've never done it myself! I love that Disneyland is selling them now at Christmas and would seriously consider going to Disneyland at Christmas time in order to get some! thanks for the great blog posts!

Luna, I live in central IL now and finally just sucked it up 2 years ago and started making them myself. Not the same as when I'm "home" in CA and my mom is in charge, but it works on the years we're not there. I made 122 tamales this year.
