Question for the ladies. I've noticed for the past 5 months that I get extremely bloated once a month. I mean extremely. I've never had this happen to me before. I'm 37 yrs old and I look like I'm 3 months pregnant when I'm bloated. What's the deal? Someone told me that my body is just going thru change of life now? Is this true. I just hate it :sad1: ! Does anyone else go thru this once a month? How long will it last?

Mine lasts a week. But I've had this since I hit puberty! You're lucky that it's only happened the past few months! I gain 3-5lbs and then drop it all in one week. I hate it!

If you have a lot of gas with the bloating, then it could be something you are eating. For example, with dairy products, you might want to consider switching to a lactose free milk for your tea/coffee. Also breads, and products with a lot of salt (take-out food, canned soup) cause bloating. Pop is really bad for bloating too.

This has been an ongoing thing with me too. After my last c-section 12 years ago I always get bloated. I find it worst at night, probably from eating all day. But when I exercise a little in the evening it tends to go away the next day. I also agree, it could be the change in our bodies as we get older. Also, drinking plenty of water all day helps the bloating go away too.:)
