We just returned from our WDW vacation on Sat. We did all the usual parks and tried Blizzard beach. We have a 3 and 5 yr old. We had a BLAST! It was so much fun. It was extremely relaxing and there were probably only 30 people in the park when we got there. No lines. The tykes area was great. If any of you are considering a waterpark, go for it. My kids cannot swim well but we felt it was very safe and our dd3 had a great time and she went on everything she could get on.

We are thinking of doing Blizzard Beach this coming Sat. - what was the temp.when you were there? Accuweather is saying low 70's...I think we'll go for it!

I must say that I too love Blizzard Beach. I am so torn as to weather I should go there first and do TL if I have time, or try TL first... any thoughts?

The days that we went it was in the mid to high 60's. It was bearable when the sun came out. I was taking to a lifeguard and he said that it has been busy on the weekends. So I would avoid them. We were walking on to slides that usually have a wait time of 40 minutes. I would definately try TL. My husband loved BB so much that he said that he would love to fly down for 4 days next winter just to do BB and Mk. It was the highlight of our trip. I wish you no lines and a great time. :wave2:

i have a 5.5yo and almost 3yo. neither are swimmers. we have been to water parks with the shallow trough type slides and climber equipment with sprayers. Blizzard Beach looks terrifying. Would this be worth my $$ to add this Plus option to my pkg? Don't the resort (staying at moderate) have pools with slides and such? Thanks for any info you can provide.

I feel that it was worth the $$. They have a kids section that my kids palyed at for 2 hours. They also have a wave pool that is safe for them as well. There is another part of the park that said it was for older children and my kids conquered that as well. It was totally appropriate for my 3 and 5 yr old kids who are not good swimmers. They have life guards at the top and bottom of the slides and the water is so shallow that they never got water up their nose. There are also slides that the kids went down in tubes. They seem to showcase there big slides when most of the park is kid friendly. Don't be afraid. We had a blast!

oh thank you so much for responding. we know how much our tots enjoy the local park (kiddie section), but even the ??gully gusher?? had DH concerned after I showed him the photos on the website.

we'll take this into consideration. thanks again. :sunny:

I am so glad to read your post. We have a 3 and 5 year old, too, and were thinking of trying a water park for our upcoming trip (late Feb-early March). Now maybe we will go ahead and do it!

ps. we will be staying at WL, too!
