Which water park is best for young kids? Their ages are 6 & 4 and they are non swimmers but love the water.

Any tips whiel at these water parks would be great.

Thanks!

Wow, this is a hard question!LOL I took both my children at young ages (I believe DD was 3 yrs. and DS was 18 mos.). I have been taking both of them to the parks for a long time (about 16 years now) and they love both of them. Their favorite is Typhoon Lagoon. Both parks have a great play area for the little ones. BB's is like an ice berg and TL is like a mountain. They both have very small slides children can go down safely. They both have a 'lazy river' type ride that you can drift on with a double, single, or child's size tube (the child's tube has a bottom where the hole usually is). There is sand at both places for kids to play in. It does seem to be more crowded at BB, but that's because it's smaller than TL. I don't know if this helped you decide or not. I wouldn't want to have to choose!:teeth:

We also love both water parks. IMHO BB is alittle better for the little ones. They have a water play area for all size kids. Go early so you can claim your spot near the kiddie area. Also remember water shoes or flip flops for the kids. The pavement gets VERY hot on bare feet. Have a great time!

Here's a copy and paste of a comparison I did about a yr ago.
Many will tell you the TL is more family friendly and that BB is only for thrill seakers. I'm shocked that so far everyone said BB. That isn't the norm when this question is asked. Before anyone says that BB is only for thirll seakers let me say that BB has more thrilling slides but that does not mean it doesn't have family or kids slides. In fact it out numbers TL in those areas too.

bold= slightly agressive

Blizzard Beach....

Melt A way Bay (wave pool)
Cross Crountry Creek (lazy river)
Slush Gusher (48in+)
Teamboat springs
Toboggan racers
Snow stormers
Runoff rapids
Downhill double dipper (48in+, 25 miles per hour)
Ski patrol camp (contains at least 4 slides/activities)
Tikes Peak, several slides and a play area

and one very agressive slide ... summit plummet

Typhoon Lagoon ....
Surf Pool ( wave pool)
Castaway Creek (lazy river)
Gang Plank falls
Keelhaul falls
Mayday falls
Storm sliders (30+miles per hour )
Shark reef (must be a good swimmer, and be able to snorkel across constantly moving without kicking)
Ketchakiddee creek ... several small childrens activities (bored my DD silly at 2 1/2)

one very agressive slide ... humunga Kowabunga (30+ miles per hour, 48+ in to ride)

We've done both and my 7 and 5 year DD's want to go back to BB in March. You really can't go wrong either way.:p
