IT IS STILL MICKEY DAY!
But it is getting closer to Mickey Evening.
I know a little girl that was in HOG HEAVEN with her fake champagne and gigantic chocolate covered strawberries. And so was Gia!
Gia then enjoyed taking pictures while we packed up to get ready for fireworks. JP continued to enjoy his desserts, but he was getting tired.
I’m sure she won’t agree, but i actually really like this picture of my mom.
Okay, enough pictures here. Let’s go find out where we need to go for Happily Ever After! We got the reservation for the Plaza Garden Viewing. We checked in with the person outside of Tomorrowland that we were told to check in with. They pointed us towards the little plaza garden nearest Tomorrowland. We made our way to the back of the “grass” and spread out our blanket. The kids got to move around (and JP was getting restless). Jimmy and Gia danced again to the music playing, this time re-creating Dirty Dancing. They received a standing ovation from the crowds around us. We didn’t have to wait too long, but we were able to find a photopass! A special Happily Ever After one!
Hahah Poor JP was getting so sleepy. I brought his noise cancelling headphones that he is really good about wearing, but he didn’t keep them on long once the show started. But before that, there was restless baby syndrome.
And then it was time! The crowd hushed, the lights dimmed, and the show began.
I didn’t get any pictures, these are all from Mom’s phone. I ended up holding the baby with a blanket and his headphone. I faced him out to watch the show and then he took of the headphones. Fireworks did NOT bother him. Okay cool, but then the sucker FALLS ASLEEP! Now you know he is tired if he falls asleep during a firework show. And he stayed knocked out, so I just went ahead and strapped him to me in the carrier.
Only complaint about the “cheap seats” of the dessert party were the poles and things in the way of viewing. Not a big deal, but not the best. Jimmy and I actually stood up most of the show against the back railing of the fence in our area. I think G sat down on the blanket to watch.
JP wasn’t the only one tired. When we got back to the room, G was out before the lights were. The next morning we would be sending her things to her mom’s hotel, so I stayed up LATE washing clothes and packing her things. I also liked to get ready for the next day each evening. I’m pretty sure I clocked, like 17,000 steps that day. I can’t tell you about the rest of the days because we left a straightener on my fitbit and it was ka-put after that.
I know we are at the end of Mickey Day, and I’m sure mom has lots more to chime-in on, but that day was absolutely magical! It really way! And my goodness we did and experienced SO MUCH in just one day.
Tomorrow, like I said, Gia’s mom would be coming to meet us, we would be in Epcot, and we had another full day planned!
