I'm listening to this weeks podcast and the discussion about the bleach smell in the rooms. I wonder if the increased use of bleach by housekeeping is due to the high numbers of people with Norovirus and influenza this time of year. They may be disinfecting more completely than they used to.
Just a thought.

That's a very good point. I was at POFQ in Oct and didn't smell anything like this.

I've also seen more than one poster say they are bringing bleach along to do some extra disinfecting in the rooms.

We were at BCV in a 1BR this past Saturday-Wednesday and didn't notice any bleach smell. Perhaps just a coincidence?

That bleach smell gives me a feeling of confidence (perhaps misplaced) that the room has been cleaned. Good point about the viruses.

On the down side, bleach is a migraine trigger for my sister.

I'm all for a little bleach smell if it means my room is free of germs!
