Blasphemy! Non disney trip while at SSR?!?!

Going to SSR for a week and thinking of not visiting any parks. What else to do around the area that is fun for adults (no nightlife though), I know about Universal, but anything else?

I did a trip like that last July to SSR. DH and combined points with a friend and got a 2 bedroom. We were there for a Drum Corp show at the Citrus Bowl and spent hardly any time in the parks. We enjoyed the pools, walking to DTD, and the BEST part was a GIRLS day at the SPA. We totally relaxed and had a wonderful time

If you are coming this weekend. There is a show called Orlando Cooks at the convention center.

Also Cypress Gardens is supposed to be nice. If you are looking for Shopping there are outlets by the Queen Mary Shrine and up by Unviversal. There is also the Mall of Millenia and the mall at Orange Blossom Trail.

We'll be at SSR in 18 days. We're going to Discovery Cove and Seaworld on this trip. Plus multiple trips to the WDW parks.

I'll second Deb & Bill's suggestion....give Sea World a try. We visited SW while staying at SSR last November and had a blast. There is a SW board on The DIS.
