M holding a little grudge right now and I need to let it go. I was in EPCOT yesterday touring World Showcase with my father who is elderly and was using an ECV for the first time. For the most part, it worked out great, except for when we got to Canada. I wanted to see the film O' Canada, and read the sign which had an arrow pointing towards Le Cellier for disabled persons wanting to see the film. We started that way, when we were redirected by the cast member who was working the Le cellier podium at the entrance. She stated that we could go either way and made it clear we should go the other way, which was up the ramp through the pavilion. We started up, weaving through ramp after ramp, dodging the traffic heading down out of the pavilion. When we got to the top, we discovered a staircase. There was no way down out of the pavilion into the theater besides going back the way we came. I was furious that this cast member would send us this way so carelessly. As I said this was my Dads first experience with an ECV and he did not have a great command of his vehicle. It was extremely difficult for him to wind his way up these ramps, only to get stuck at the top. He said he could get out and walk down, but he would have had. To leave his chair and then walk back up all those stairs after the film. I stomped back down to question the cast member, who was on the phone when I arrived back at the host stand. She offered an off handed apology stating that she thought I said we wanted to see Canada, not O' Canada the film. I just shook my head and walked away before I gave her the Inge lashing I wanted to give. Anyway, I just wanted to get that out of my system. Thanks for reading.

I am guessing that is what she thought. You can't get up to the Canada shops from the ramp that leads to the movie unless you climb those steps you went down. But, clarification of where you wanted to go would have been good.

If you are still at WDW, go to Guest Relations and get a park map for Guests with Disabilities. It lists the access route for all attractions. That will save you that kind of grief.
